Eric is a big reason for the turn around from last year. Having a guy that can put up points when Harden sits along with driving to the basket is killer. Lou has been great for us though. If Lou would have played all season then maybe but Eric should win it.

    Grizzlies are lobbying for ZBo.

Grizzlies coach David Fizdale lobbied for Zach Randolph to receive Sixth Man of the Year consideration before Memphis faced the Rockets, who feature two candidates in Eric Gordon and Lou Williams. "They have two guys that's super dynamic that's as deserving," Fizdale said. "I think we've got a heck of a race going for that, but those guys don't rebound like mine, I'll tell you that much. My guy's a double-double machine, and he's evolved. He's shooting 3s. He's doing so many other things that he hasn't done. And I'm biased. I want ZBo to win it. He made this move for me without making a fuss, and so who would I root for more than this guy as a coach? You come in and make moves like this and guys can rebel on you, but he's probably been the most stable, the most consistent dealing with the role change out of all of the guys. I think he's deserving and I hope that we can continue to put him in position to at least be considered."

I'm hoping we get a Co-6th Man of Year winners and cue the girl from the commercial that says why not both?

Just split the award and give it to both of them.

I guess it will depend how they end up playing the rest of the season, but I agree with FTW in saying to just split the award between them both.

If Westbrook is an MVP candidate for fancy stats, how about this for Sexto Man of the Year...and 20 more games to go

Gordon easily. Lou Williams padded his stats on a terrible team. Now that they are on the same team, you clearly see Gordon as being superior.

Barring Williams just totally outplaying Gordon the rest of the way, Gordon probably wins it. Williams posted some eye-popping numbers in LA, but for a terrible basketball team. And he's still really finding his way on this roster right now. Given a full season, it will be interesting to see who becomes the more important player.

One advantage I think Gordon clearly has right now, though, is on the defensive end. His defense was drastically underestimated before he got here, but I think he's consistently been above average all season long. Lou Will clearly has some issues on that end he needs to work on.

I'm going to reserve my judgement until Lou completely settles in and there's a larger sample size. With that said it's Gordon's to lose.

To be fair, each guys should have equal minutes to play.in order to compare. The coach seems like to give more playing time for gordon

Gordon gets a slight edge at the moment. He did start more games than Williams and he's missed more time due to injury. But his defense is better and he's played for one of the best teams in the league all season. If Gordon can play well the next 5 1/2 weeks, I think he gets it over Lou, especially since the latter has already won it.

Gordon's defensive contributions should give him the edge. Glad the Rockets have both. :)
