http://www.cnn.com/2012/07/19/politics/senate-bring-jobs-home-bill-blocked/index.html?hpt=hp_c1 GOP tanking the economy and protecting corporations. No surprise here.
I'm shocked. And I'm shocked that they'd want to load what should be a fairly bipartisan bill with divisive partisan amendments like repealing HCR and the Bush tax cuts to ensure its failure either way.
The question is do the Democrats have the balls to actually make an issue of it. So many times before when the GOP has done something equally as ridiculous and damaging, the Dems have given them a free pass.
From the story: "In addition, Republican aides called attention to opposition by business groups like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufacturers, who generally support Republicans." What is this about? These groups don't represent Corporate America in particular.
Nope, no corporations here: http://www.nam.org/About-Us/Board-of-Directors/Landing-Page.aspx I can't think of a single reason why the National Assoc. of Manufacturers would oppose limiting tax breaks on firms that outsource jobs. You've got to be kidding.
