Hey, it is 7-0 Texans and Dallas couldn't do anything on their first drive...there's reason for optimism for you Texans fans :)

What if you are a Cowboy fan? :(

Man, we are looking VERY bad right now. I don't know what's wrong, either. But I am happy for the Texans. They have showed me they are not just any expansion team.

Is it me, or does Jabar Gaffney call for pass interference every time he doesn't catch the ball, no matter where it's passed? He did the same thing at Florida.

Jabar: sometimes it's your fault that you can't catch the ball, sometimes it's the QB's fault. However - play the game instead of looking for a cop out every single time down the field.

Definately looks like the Texans will be going through the air more to start off the season than on the ground. If Allen starts to become ineffective, Wells should immediately be placed in the game - but it's not at that point right now.

The Texans actually look decent to this point.

Their offense looks ok, but the most suprising is their defense. Wow.

    Go Texans!!! :)

Yeah, but let me ponder you this Kagy....Is it that the Texans look pretty good so far, or is it that Dallas is so terrible to this point and making them look better?

I prefer to take the "glass is half full" approach. :)

I know there should not be any Dallas optimism, but counting the fumble and tackle afterwards of Carr as a sack, the Cowboys have 4 sacks. I think the guys in the booth said the Cowboys had about 24 sacks last year. 4/24=1/6 of the sacks of last year.

But thats about it. We are really stinking it up. I was very angry at our DT for celebrating a 15-yard face mask. AH!

    Come on Cowboys! :(

How did Lewis not catch that last second pass at the end of the half!!!!!!!!!!

After years of Jeff Fisher's ball control offense with the Oilers, its so refreshing to see a Houston QB allowed to display a vertical game... reminds me of my childhood hero, Warren Moon!!!! :D

If Lewis catches it, the Texans pretty much would have nailed the coffin on the Cowboys.

The Cowboys looked decent on the last drive. Of course they had help with 2 personal fouls. If the defense doesn't come out with intensity like the start of the game, I think the Cowboys will tie it real soon.

Carter was trying too hard in the first half. He needs to calm down a little. Emmit has to realize that he cannot punch it through the line like he used to. He needs to bounce outside until those holes open up. Taking nothing from the Texans...they are winning.

any chance Carter gets pulled for Hutchinson at some point? after watching "Hard Knocks" it was obvious that the brass seems to favor the guy.

I was down in the exercise room on the elliptical glider during the latter part of the 2nd quarter and caught the pass that Lewis didn't catch. Even the girl next to me, who I'm pretty sure doesn't watch much football (no, I'm not stereotyping...I know her), remarked that he should've had that. Lewis knew he should've had it too - but there's nothing you can do about it.

But - those are the types of plays that can lose you ballgames. The Falcons' Brian Finneran was in a situation much like that one in the 4th quarter of today's Atlanta-Green Bay game and had the ball drop out of his hands. The Falcons had to punt a couple of plays later and watch 7 points go down the drain. Turned out to be a major point in the game.

Naw, from what I've seen Chad isn't very good. But they may, if they're feeling stupid.

    Hmm...maybe they should...

Thank you Lewis. You've just cost the Texans the ball game.
