I just installed google chrome (3.0.195.38).

It opens quickly, but pages load very slow. Also, when I'm typing into text boxes, sometimes the letters don't appear instantly. Scrolling also has delays at times.

My problem looks to be similar to this:

Has anyone else experienced this? I was hoping for a fast browser that consumes less memory compared to Firefox, but I'm disappointed thus far with the performance. Is it a 64-bit issue?

Not sure but I'm running Vista and Chrome seems faster and is certainly more stable for me than firefox was.

I don't use Windows 7 yet, but I do use 64-bit Windows XP and have had some issues with Chrome when I leave particular pages open for extended periods of time. It typically happens with pages that have Flash (I think) on 'em such as ESPN's GameCast or automatically updating fantasy boxscores. Once I close them and kill all the chrome.exe processes, things return to normal.

Not a desirable solution, really, but Firefox does the same thing. It makes me think it's ESPN's fault. Your situation is probably entirely different. :p

Same setup, and I don't even bother with Chrome on my computer anymore. Seems like the majority of plugins don't work, and 9 times out of 10 when I try to load a new page it says I have no connection. It will only load said page when I tell it to refresh.

Ridiculous as it sounds, IE is the most consistent and reliable browser for me right now.

I am running Chrome on my laptop (Windows 7, 32 bit)

and on my Desktop (Windows XP, 32 bit)

The only real annoying thing was the pages not loading on the first try and needing to be refreshed. I fixed the problem on my laptop by doing a DNS flush or something, but it still persists on my Desktop.

I just install yesterday on my XP 32 bit desktop and it was great, but now everything is loading so damn slow. And how the hell do i turn off history being saved. I can only find how to remove history for the day. I want no history. Ever time i open a tab, it previews a bunch of p*rn sites i visited last night.

Click it. >>>>> Scroll down to Open new Incognito window. >>>Enjoy fapping with no temp files, history, or pics saved to your computer.

I've been running Chrome for a long time, and it is fast as heck on my windows 7 64bit laptop. No problems running all day every day.

Extensions are only available in the beta release, btw. Can't wait till extensions hit the regular release, then this thing will be the best browser out there.

Just in case anyone else was experiencing the same problem, I've switched to the dev channel. I'm now using 4.0.2. It looks to be working faster now.

Chrome is the only fast browser for me.

Firefox and IE loads incredibly slow on startup.

I used Chrome for a while but I got tired of the occasional bugginess and went back to FF, which has always been rock-solid. I'll definitely give Chrome another chance in the future because the speed is great.

I dont know if chrome changed 2 days ago or what. I didnt download anything. But 2 days ago I noticed a few changes in my options screen. Last week you could just click it and you have the option to "clear browsing data" now you have to click "options" then "clear browsing data" then click clear all. This extra click bothers me because I have to use this feature twice a day to erase everything so my wife doesnt see the pictures Im looking at.
