FACT: For those of us old enough to remember the show Good Times, Esther Rolle was 19 years older than John Amos.
One of my favorite shows and actors of all time. Outside of JJ, that show seemed so "real life". Well, if you didn't count JJ's existence and Thelma's NY accent while they lived in Chicago. lol. Loved John Amos' portrayal of the father - it was about as real as it gets. Mad Dog - you can rest easy - you're safe now. R.I.P. James, Sr.
Don't forget his contributions to the the third best Die Hard movie. (1, 3, 2, 5, 4 [Justin Long Effect])
He was a great actor who didn't want to be remembered just as James Evans Sr. But really, that's all I remember him for. Good Times was such an impactful show on so many levels.
Who's gonna run it now, Louie....? Edit- Louie passed away in 2022. Holy geez, the hangout has become an obituary.
