    Hey folks,

I ditched cable. Know any good bars in the city to watch the game? The bartender at the place I went the other night waited for the Yankees post-game to put the Rockets on.

    Thanks,

    Michael

Best bet is something like ESPN Zone - they have huge screens but it's not cheap.

You'll find the game on alll sorts of places -the only problem will be if there's a Yankee's game on - then you can forget about catching it.

Hey, I'll be in NY for game 6 and would really appreciate any suggestions. Will be there for game 7, but I am hoping there isn't a game 7.

F Times Square, so F ESPN ZONE.

Also, 40/40 is toomuch of a dance-clubby madhouse for me. Expensive to boot.

Personally, I like the two Bounce sports bars: LINK

A bunch of us have watched the first few games at the one on 6th, will be there again tomorrow night & Saturday. Tons of tv's, not so expensive, and pretty good food.

ESPN Zone is the worst place you can go...

I always recommend blondies if you are on the upper east (93 and 3rd) or upper west (79 and BWay).. riviera down in the village (w 4th & 7th)... Stillwater in the East Village (east 4th between 2nd & Bowery)

that covers alot of ground, so you can find something close wherever you are...

Blondies on the east side is where a few bbs'ers met on opening day a few seasons back...

i seem to remember there being a texas friendly crowd... UT alumni watch football games there...

    have fun!

Make sure you call ahead because the Yankees are playing a double head tonight and you don't want to get stuck on the small screen without volume.
