Clay Pigeons - Joaquin Phoenix stars, but Vince Vaughn as the suspected serial killer is what makes the film a classic.

Lone Star - starring Chris Cooper is a classic piece of Texana. It's a John Sayles mystery where the acting and story suck you in even though it was a small budget indie film.

You need to see Frailty. It will change your mind.

Plus he was in Tombstone, True Lies, Aliens, and Apollo 13...not to mention Weird Science.

Some good ones are already out there. Let me add Roman Polanski's Oliver Twist.

That is the way books should be adapted. The set design and look of that film is just perfect.

Brazil - Terry Gilliam directed this, and the look, symbolism, homage to other movies, are top notch. Robert DeNiro is absolutely hilarious in the movie. It was one of his first attempt at comedies. Gilliam probably has the greatest looking sets of anyone since the old Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.

Kung-Fu Hustle - Make sure and watch the one with subtitles. The movie is unique and very stylized in a way that puts this in a league of its own.

Straight to Hell - Since Repo Man is already listed, I thought I would add this Alex Cox film. It is a spoof on Spaghetti Westerns, and Sy Richardson gives one of the best performances of modern times. A lot of people hate this film, especially females for some reason. At least that has been my experience.

Sympathy for Lady Vengeance - This film is directed by Park Chan-Wook. It is a great example of why Korean cinema is all the rage. Some of the shots in this movie would be museum quality stills if they were photographs.

Audition - directed by Takashi Miike is worth seeing just for the ending.

Putney Swope - A very bizarre and pointed Satire that is funny, with acting sometimes so bad it only adds to the humor. It is very 60's.

This is Spinal Tap - A great movie, and my favorite of all times. It needs to be watched multiple times, and can't be watched enough.
