Im making the trip to Dallas tomorrow. Bringing a laptop. Want to know some good games for traveling. I only Have Hoyle Casino 2004. I enjoy Counter Strike, but dont know if that would be fun on a lap top. I do have a full size wireless mouse and laptop can handle anything.

    Thanks!

    Thanks.
    I need something totally addictive.
That I dont have to play online.
And it will keep me entertained for a long period of time even with 4 children in the van screaming to "let me see".

So Call of Duty is fun even not online?

All of the Heroes of Might and Magic games (2 is my fave) are perfect for this.

Here's an oldie but a goodie. Get yourself an SNES emulator like zsnes. Then grab the rom for Tetris Attack. It is by far the most addictive puzzle game I've ever played.

Crap! I just read a similar thread like this in another forum I visit, but I can't find it. Someone wanted to know some good games for a laptop, although I think his was probably no where near as powerful as yours I think. (I think he needed games that weren't 3D) I can't really remember the games that much, but they were pretty similar to HOMM, which I agree Vengeance would be a great series to check out. Of course, playing some SNES games like m_cable mentioned wouldn't be a bad idea either. Those seem like good ideas. I don't have a laptop, so I don't know what would be a good game for travelling. I'd probably just end up naming a bunch of good games for a PC that don't play so well on the go.

if you're looking for an addictive game, then you can't go wrong with Sid Meier's Civilization 3.

I reccommend getting a Nintendo 64 emulator (I like one called "1964") and a ton of N64 roms burned to a DVD. That gives you a large variety of high-quality games of different types, portable, and none of 'em instlalled on the computer's hard drive. Perfect.
