    Horrible deal. Sony stopped making plasmas a while ago and this is just an EDTV.

    I know it's silly, but I really think having a gray shell makes the picture look inferior to a black one. Once you go black you never go back.

    they did, but now they stopped to focus on LCD....

    i think they're actually coming up. the new 1080p plasmas from samsung looks real nice.

    Upon further review, this TV doesn't give you much really, so forget it. It's not even an HDTV, it seems (no mention of it anywhere in the description), and even if it were it's not even 720p.

    Besides, Sony products (in the U.S., that is) suck donkey balls. I would only buy Sony if I was in overseas markets where they have a big fat "Made in Japan" stamped on them. In the U.S.? Panasonic or Toshiba have proven to be of higher quality/reliability over the years.
