I just wanted to start a thread about this awesome sport, to me its the best sport in the world the most difficult also. This Sunday i will play my first tournament of my life i am very excited. Do any of you in Clutch City play ?? And also post interesting storys if you have any...
I have played... but... Every time I would get in a fight with my wife, she would always twist around an bring up how often I play (about once a month) and how much I spend (around $35 each time I play). So I have stopped playing golf. Isn't marriage great? Marriage = give up on all your youth, happiness, dreams, inspiration, ambitions, fun, relaxation and happiness... Embrace monotony, unimportance and mediocrity. having kids = see definition of marriage and mulitply x 2 x no. of kids. -- droxford
Golf is so frustrating, yet, so fulfilling. As long as you believe in beer and mulligans, its impossible not to enjoy.
I tell her we should find out how much money we have made in her doing Pampered Chef and Tupperware and all that other crap where we spend more money than we make.
Words to live by. My subdivision just openned up a new front 9 which I will be playing this weekend. I moved in (Stonegate) not too long ago and haven't had chance to play the original 18 yet, but I'm sure I'll get around to it (plenty of times).
What a coincidence. I live in Stonegate too. I haven't played Houston National yet. Its a links style course and with the houses being so close, I have a lil scared to play (I depend on big trees to keep my shots in play). I have several free passes though that I intend to use. They have been working on the course and its looking alot better than it did when I first moved in 3 years ago. I have two holes just behind me. I get golf balls in my yard from time to time.
Cool. I think the #1 on the new 9 is right at the entrance to my section. I've been pretty impressed with the improvements they've made recently.
Yeah, I was pretty pleased with that. All the trees they put up around the clubhouse seem to be hurting though. They better water them unless they plan on waiting for some rain.
I just recently started playing golf. I love it. I stink at it, and don't play it too often because of the cost involved, but it's more fun than I imagined it would be.
