    Down To The Wire

Closing in completing her second 18 of the day, Michelle Wie has bounced back and is one shot away from becoming the first woman to qualify for the U.S. Open. Wie opened with a 2-under 68 in the morning.

Just had back to back bogeys. She's even with 4 to play so chances are slim she'll make it now.

ESPN - Michelle Wie's attempt at history will have to wait at least another year.
A cranky putter and three late bogeys Monday derailed Wie's attempt
to become the first female in the men's Open. Wie finished 1-over par,
missing the projected sectional Open qualifying cut by five shots.

she's mastered the blowing, now all she has to get right is the stroking.
