Houston, we have a problem. GS is an under-rated team. Did anyone watch the yesterday match with SA?

yeah i guess so, but it doesn't really matter since the lakers won't make the playoffs and the spurs might not slide in. they played a good game but c'mon. let the season get through a week atleast.

That won't make the playoffs. You guys don't realize that the first game of the season doesn't determine the whole damn season.

    jlaw,

please look at the first couple of pages of threads to make sure you're not duplicating another (um, not to mention the first few threads of the first page). Thanks.

Interesting, the Rockets lose the first game of the season and the season is over, Francis isn't a PG, Mobley is a ball-hog, Rudy can't coach, tear the team apart. Golden State wins their first game and they're a playoff team? I'm telling you I've never seen a BBS freak out after one game like this one. I guess the Lakers aren't contenders they're 0-2. And the Rockets went 5-1 last year so winning the first game isn't a given for anything.

I actually have to agree about Golden State. They could be serious contenders for a playoff spot. They have the talent, and if (big IF) Gilbert Arenas is able to continue playing like he has Golden State will make the playoffs. Will they be good enough to beat the Spurs in the playoffs ... HELL NO. But they should be good enough to contend (along with the Rockets) for that 8th seed.

Also if Utah continues to play the way they have there's no way in hell they're making the playoffs.

They could start the season with 15 wins. But, I would still put money that they end up in the lottery.
