I was looking for games for my pc since nba live and my other games aren't cutting it anymore and I came across this old classic. It brought back lots of memories from my younger years. Boy that game was STRAIGHT AWESOME!!! I remember playing with the girl and whenever she gets hit and falls down I'd think she'd look so hot! I agree. When I use to go to the arcade before it closed down, this was one of the games I played along with Final Fight, Streetfighter II and Rolling Thunder. Those were good times!
Golden Axe was awesome! It was one of the first co-op games I ever played. It was funny because you could attack the person you were playing with and a lot of times we would just end up beating the crap out of each other.
One word MAME If you don't have the MAME client with 1000+ games you don't know what your missing.. Currently i'm at 6000 + lol from 70's - 90's / different version of games too.
That alone is depressing. I miss the old arcades... The UH game room seems to be the only really good one around anymore. LA has some good ones.
I play Golden axe I and II on the wii virtual console all the time. I used to love golden axe when I was a kid. It is a freaking hard game though.
I'm lovin' all the old game threads lately. Hell yes I remember Golden Axe. Definitely played it in the arcade, though I played it a whole lot more on my Genesis at home... my brother always played the dwarf, and I alternated between the dude and the chick.
