I've heard several radio reports today that Goldberg arrived back in Houston today. As mentioned here before he considered talks very successful. He also intimated that something should be done in the next day or two. The folks in China are meeting later today to try to get things hammered out.

It was also interesting to hear him speak of Yao as if he were already a Rocket saying stuff like "the people here will love him" and "he will be very good for this city".

Another side note, Goldberg was not alone. The Rockets sent over their team doctor, Walter Lowe. He was there to check out Yao and make sure there were no hidden injuries. Lowe said Yao checked out fine and is ready to go.

    AHA !!!!

    Another myth bites the dust.

I think Yao is going to energize the Summit and the Rockets team will really enjoy playing with Yao and a full crowd he brings with him.
