If you are like me, you might miss the play-by-play voice. I tried bringing a sony arm walkman, but it sucked on reception. So, you will have to call your own play-by-play! LOL!! :D

Since it's your first time, I say get there an hour (or more) before tip off. That way you can get some snacks/drinks, get to your seats and then enjoy the atmosphere; looking around, listening to the intercom music, and watching the pre-game warmups.

P.S. You will be surprised on how tall the point guards are. They look like "midgets" on TV.

I don't know why anyone would want to listen to a broadcast during a live game. I find that seeing it in person is enough. Atmosphere is everything. I suggest you bring your own snacks, buying food in the arenas is a waste of money.

Not enough for a regular season game with only 10,000 fans in the seats.

Play-off game, ok. But not all. Besides, I enjoy the color commentary.:p

I always bring a personal radio player, so I can listen to the PBP on the radio.

I'd like to think my knowledge of the game is enough that I don't have to listen to a guy on a radio for details... besides it interupts my heckling.

You "can't" bring your own snacks. Sneak them into the arena, in your jacket, or pants. Depending on your tastes.

The issue is that when you watch any player on TV, they don't look as tall
    as they do in person.

It's not about a "specific" height.
