Going to Miami

    I need a hotel on the beach and I have around $165 a night to play with. Any suggestions? What's the best place/area to stay?

    Will you be in South Beach during Memorial Day weekend? That place turns into a madhouse.

    I have used the Winterhaven before - right on Ocean Drive. Relatively cheap and nice enough (but I was in a private bungalow on the roof, essentially so not sure how it compared to the regular rooms). It is one of the smaller deco hotels.

    Was there in March and stayed at this place called The Mercury Hotel and Spa. Its in SouthBeach and we got the hotel on Hotwire. Small hotel, plenty of eating places and bars around.

    I tried Hotels.com and stayed at a place called the Palms Southbeach...Loved it...

    It was the summer and I don't know how the prices compare to Memorial Day...

    I love South Beach...topless, hot women..
