So im going to Las Vegas next week with some friends and wanted to know if anyone had some advice. We are younger.. 25ish.. so im interested in knowing of where we should go out at night, and if these "VIP" passes we can buy are worth buying..I can buy passes on ebay for cheap, but have no idea if it is even worth our time. Also what are some of the best casinos?? Not looking at droping that much ( around 400) so does anyone know of any good casinos to go to with low buy in?? Lastly is hoover dam even worth our time to go. We only have 4 days there and dont wanna waste a day if its gonna be boring.. Thanks guys!
4 days is a long time to be in Vegas. I'm usually ready to go home after 2 nights. If you want to gamble for cheap, take a cab over to Freemont (old Vegas). We spent a lot of our time last time at El Cortez. Gambling is cheap, drinks are free (tip you cheapass), and it's about as old school vegas as you're gonna find. Where are you guys staying? I'm going back to Vegas for a couple days in early August. And no, the Hoover dam tour is not worth it. Your time and money would be much better spent at a strip club, and that's saying something.
Go to the "Fremont Street Experience". It is in "old Vegas" as Harrisment mentioned. There is an awning covering a number of blocks where they display videos, laser type presentations every X minutes (can't remember the value for X). They generally have bands playing throughout and places along the street where you can get drinks. No cost to see the bands or walk the street. There should be free shuttles from places along the strip. Another cheap option is to spend a few minutes at the Bellagio fountains. They put on a show every 15 minutes or so. For a good expensive meal, go to the Mesa Grill (Bobby Flay's restaurant) in Caesar's Palace.
If you go to Hoover Dam take lots and lots of bottled water, preferably cold. Do NOT go down there without a gallon or two. Even if you're driving. Trust me on this.
Me too. Hotel rates are ridiculously low right now. Just booked the 3 nights at the Wynn for under $100 a night.
Go to Lee's discount liquor and buy white spirits (vodka, gin, rum). Mix with sprite in plastic bottles and sneak these into the pool area. Spend your time at the pool drinking the cheap stuff you snuck in. Four bills isn't gonna last you very long in Vegas unless you really know what you are doing or are just plain lucky.
MGM Grand Vegas from $49 including buffet meals for 2 DAILY (breakfast, lunch, dinner) * Daily access to the Grand Buffet for 2 people * 2 Complimentary admissions to Studio 54 or Tabu * 25% off Grand Spa or Christophe Salon * 2 Free inner tube rentals * $15 Free Slot Play * $30 upgrade per night to Celebrity Spa Suite MGM Grand Link Good deal if you're planning to go to Vegas. Great reviews for this 4 star hotel at tripadvisor.
or pee in his pool... Vegas is too f'n hot now...but it'll be fun...Tryst is great, Tao is pretty cool, but Tao beach kind of sucked...well, we went on a Thursday but on huge girl was the only one topless...but she had big cans, so...
Most insane weekend evar starting on Friday. Friday night: Table at XS Saturday: cabana at Wet Republic, table at Tryst Sunday: cabana at rehab. staying in a suite at the Wynn with a massage table inside only downside is I'm having to fly commercial out there. first class, though PEACE
With all due respect, F you. Now that is how to do Vegas. Rehab is insane if you havent done it before...good times for sure!
just got back yesterday from my first weekend in vegas. stayed at the encore. got it for like $190 a night which is pretty good. the rooms were pretty sick for being regular rooms. the encore and wynn are definitely the nicest hotels in vegas. the floor at encore is a bit small because it was dedicated more for hotel rooms. we got a table at XS (the club at encore) on saturday night and it was crazy packed. it is arguably the #1 club in vegas right now. a table for 9 of us came out to like 2 grand. this isnt so bad once you factor in that without a table, you will spend $30 on cover and about $100 on drinks. so you are spending an extra $100-$150 to get in faster and have somewhere to sit and somewhere to bring the ladies to sit. this girl i met got to XS at 930PM for the regular line and didnt get in until 11PM! if you are abunch of guys, you MUST get a table or have underwear model looks if you want to meet some ladies. hooking up with chicks on the first night is harder than you think. getting digits and meeting up with them again in vegas or wherever you are from (if ya'll live in the same area) is much higher probability play. and be prepared for mega-douchebags in vegas clubs. they are everywhere! the famous seafood buffet at the Rio resort was overrated and the steaks at SW in the wynn resort were pretty damn good. i hope this helps. have fun in vegas!
XS is an insane club. I was just there a few weeks ago. Such a beautiful layout out there by the pool. Its well worth whatever you have to pay to get into that place.
I go to Vegas about 5-6 times a year. Definitely sign up for every "Player's Card" there is, and know their "VIP" phone line. With all of these Player's Card's, I have not paid for a hotel room in Vegas in years. Last week, I stayed four nights at MGM Grand for free. I only go to Vegas to gamble and to see shows on occasion, so I can't give you a report about the clubs. Sorry. The nicest casino with the lowest limits is Treasure Island. They usually have lots of $5 dollar table games going throughout the whole night no matter how busy it is. Tropicana always has $5 Blackjack, but its not a nice casino to play in. Hooters has a sign that says 24/7 $3 dollar Blackjack, but I have not gone to try yet. Cocktails and drinks are always free at every casino. You normally just have to tip them $1 a drink.
