I have a 9:30 court date in regards to a motion to modify the "standard visitation" schedule that my ex decided to implement after son had followed a mutually agreed schedule for seven years...since he was one year old. Updates later.
I am currently with a ankle monitor which i decided to get instead of the interlock ignition device on my car for my first ever offense...a DWI.... this was back the week during christmas....i've had my court date reset 8 times already....and this time i was reset back to march 19...i think they trying to screw with me so i can be on house arrest as long as possible my curfew is 7am to 10pm everyday...
1) Your post has little relevance to this thread. 2) Dang you must have been jaaaacked up to get pulled over for DWI. 3) Good luck FT.
GREAT NEWS!!! My son got everything he asked for in terms of visitation!!! He wanted to come over Tuesday, Thursday, and every other weekend and that is EXACTLY what the judge ordered...even though it is temporary until March 30th in which time my ex and I will be attending co parenting classes. My son also told me that he wanted to travel during Spring Break with his mom, and the judge that son will spend spring break with mom. My son is going to be SO Happy!!! Ex's husband made a spectacle of himself, and she was putting on a huge a show that the judge saw through!!!! Thanks for all the wishes and prayers and kind words!!! I am SOOOOOOOO happy!!!
Congrats to you and your son. Can't belive your ex-wife and her guy would put on a show like that in front of your son......justice prevails.
Great news for you and your son, and everyone else too even if they don't know it. Happy kid is good for everyone.
Congrats. Just a question thought not trying to get in your business and all but what if your ex doesn't travel for spring break (is it a job or something) do you get that time maybe?
I don't think she is going to be open to suggestion. A little bit of history, I had my son for the entire Christmas holiday except for one day. The whole story is buried somewhere in the hangout. So the judge awarded her all of Spring Break. *edit* Found the thread http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=159824&page=1&highlight=visitation
Congratulations. I followed that other thread and really sympathized, since my brother has had to face similar issues.
I know some may not believe in the power of prayer, but we, as a family, have been praying to God to guide the justice system in doing what is good for Josh. For some reason unbeknownst to me, the court was changed to a different judge, and as I listened to this judge rule on other cases, we saw that he did not like standard visitation and prefered equity in visitation times. Then, for the judge to rule in a manner that was EXACTLY what my son asked for without him knowing about the Spring Break time, I know God was at work watching out for my son. This has restored my faith in the family courts in Texas, and while I know there is still injustice out there, I know that it is possible that eventually, justice and fairness will prevail.
congrats FT! I don't understand why ex-wives want to keep kids from their fathers or cut down spending time with the fathers. A father are so important in a kid's life!
