i could forgive him for his stupid taunting on the field and put it under the "heat of the moment" files.

but those post game comments are pure stupidity.

I agree...but then again it wasn't my knee that got chop-blocked and my career that was almost ended. I'm not saying he's right in saying what he said, but I understand why he said it. Suppose Green had blown out TJ's knee and his career was over: could you blame him for bad-mouthing the guy who did it?

I think they are only doing this bc green hurt himself. It was a really ugly "block".

ESPN describes the hit like this: "He was injured when defensive tackle Travis Johnson hit him in the head with his knee. After the play, Johnson stood over Green and taunted him, drawing a 15-yard penalty."

All the media will jump at the chance to throw a guy up on the cross.

I don't think it was intentional of Green... He is a qb trying to block afterall. He was going low. Travis Johnson was being an idiot though.

Is that like trying to break the concrete by throwing yourself off a building? If Travis wanted to injure Green, using your knee to hit someone in the helmet isn't the way to go about it. ESPN morons.

True, but in that situation, Green was closer to having a more severe injury. Granted, Trent shouldnt have attempted that sort of block, but nonetheless, the dude was obviously hurt much worse than TJ. You cant always say "suppose TJ got a knee injury...". Fact of the matter is that TJ bounced right up and said some stupid things.

I think TJ had justification for being upset -- he has had his fair share of injury problems and a block like that hitting the wrong spot could've ended his season again.

That said, he was a total douchebag for not being able to control his emotions, costing his team in the process and saying those things afterwards.

I'm a Dolphins fan(yeah, I feel sorry for myself), but what Johnson did was one of the most classless, moronic things I have ever seen a player do.

I can understand where he's coming from about the low block, but many QB's will do that to a 300 pound guy, but I couldn't believe a person would be that low taunting a guy while he's down like Green was. That dude needs a beaten.

While I agree with him about the hit, he was wrong to do what he did after the play was over. Wrong for the team... Wrong because he's essentially beating a player when he's down. Even if you think Green got what he deserved... Why rub it in his face?!?!?! Your supposed to be a PRO.

He might want to watch out for his knees the rest of the season. He might end up reaping what he has sewn. The entire thing is just plain unfortunate.

Yeah I just saw the post - game rant on ABC 13's post game show and what TJ said before the newspaper started quoting him was "F Trent Green" word for word. Just terrible man, let it go Green was trying to make a play for his team and inadvertently threw a chop block. **** happens, football is a tough sport, but standing over someone who is motionless and taunting them is classless and makes the whole organization look bad. The post game comments were just as much in bad taste as his actions. I wouldn't be suprisied if Johnson is docked a game check or fined a significant amount of money.

It was a cheap block, no doubt...having had an MCL tear from the same sort of thing in HS I would've definetely hoped that the guy who did it ended up hurting himself. I seriously doubt TJ knew the extent of the injury at the time he popped up and started mouthing off...

IMO, he could've handled it differently after the game though, I agree with everything he said but he could've explained his actions a little better. I'm sure he was just trying to defend himself from what he felt was unwarranted criticism...my question is would this even make any sort of highlight reel if green had blown out johnson's knee and just popped right back up...seriously doubt it.

Its being made into a big issue b'c for one its a QB vs. a DL and two Trent Greens previous head injury issues.

His comments after the game are more of a concern for me. Shut the hell up and play some football. It was a cheap shot and you cost your team 15 yards. He caught the worse end of it so leave it at that.

But he did see a man, face planted in the dirt, laying motionless.

And his comments after the game were horrendous. "F Trent Green"...are you kidding?
