For several years, you have spent gobloads of time and money running ClutchCity.Net, and it has blossomed into the finest fan-run sports site on the internet. The other fan-run sports sites pale in comparison. I've been fortunate to be a guest here pretty much from day 1. Unfortunately, it looks like the decision has been made to shut the site down. I have had a great time here, and I will miss it, but life must go on. Best wishes to you and your family, and thank you very much for your time and effort in making such a great website. I appreciate all that you have done over the years. God bless.
I hate to see it go, but I can understand why you might want to do so. Thanks Clutch, it's been a great ride. As much as the BBS rules, I've always liked being able to read the main site to get your fabulous insight and great information. RIP clutchcity.net
Our little world is leaving us - this is a sad announcement, but at least we have all the memories... Thanks Clutch.
Thanks for reducing my work productivity! This is truly a sad day...but a ton of appreciation must go out to the entire cc.net crew. Thanks for all of your hard work!!!
Clutch did say in his message that he'll explain "what is happening"....so it almost sounds like some sort of transformation is going to take place. Possibly a buyout???
I also have to think like Behad that this is the beginning of something new. However, if it is truly the end, I will miss this place as it has been a fun time the last 2 plus years. Too many posters to name have made this place such a memorable one. Hell, if it wasn't for this place, I never would have gone to Houston!
DAMMIT Clutch, I had things I had to get accomplished today! even in it's death, this site takes over my life...again.
Seriously, this kinda thing really makes one appreciate what we have here. It's a good thing Clutch is an immortal so we never really have to worry about The End. Thank you, Clutch, Crew, and everyone else here for making this the best damn common-interest community on the planet.
That was one cruel trick Clutch. Just let me be the next in line to thank you for all the time and effort you've put into ClutchCity/ClutchFans. I'm sure you know how much this site means to many of us.
Wow...ya got me! Clutch, I now have the same feeling as I did on many April Fools Days with you. Seriously, all kidding aside....the new look is absolutely gorgeous, and kudos to you and all involved in the redesign. A website that has always been awesome is now awesomer!
I thought Clutch was getting rid of the main site, but keeping the BBS. I'm so glad that it's still around -- the new site is so amazingly freaking bad ass!!!
Man, it's kind of sad saying goodbye to my favorite site. When I first clicked on ClutchFans I was amazed on how slick it looked, though it reminded me of the hated ESPN websites. I like the new site, a lot. I felt guilty moving away from ClutchCity.net though... Also, when I first read the sticky about "The End of ClutchCity.net" I felt like it was April Fools Day, I was like "hmm, he almost got me there".
