We have been gifted a few (essentially) exhibition games. What can we do with them? I would like to see Caratini full time at first base to see more how he looks defensively. Salazar could use some reps at catcher. I don't want Diaz taking too many days off. He seems like a rhythm guy... maybe start him 2 more times and swap him with Salazar after his 2nd PA. Maybe see Heyward in CF some to see if he has anything left there in terms of range. I think Yordan should go DH last game of the year to see some live pitching before playoffs. Good chance to use up some pitchers who won't make playoff roster for the bullpen. Maybe toss a bullpen day with them (Ort, Dubin, King, Martinez). Would not mind seeing Neris and Pressley pitch in some high leverage scenarios. I'd give Abreu and Hader time off...
