OK, I'll admit that coming into this series, I was very down on the BIG MAN matchups, (our big guys and their bigs) Gasol and Bynum against Yao and ??? (Deke would be the 2nd but he's out forever... - retired.)

But seeing the game, it gives me hope... that hope that we will win this series against the Lakers...

Now the reason why I am starting this thread: I hope by some chance any of the rockets, or even Carmichael Dave will see this and convey this message to the Rockets Organization...

Tomorrow (May 5th) I will be going into an Oral Surgeons office... to pull... Six Teeth. (including 2 wisdom teeth...) I am going to be in severe pain, for about 5 days (while I make the recovery) Unfortunately, I will NOT be able to watch any of the Rockets/Lakers series til Game 4 in Houston on Sunday. (Thankfully it won't be the Lakers' sweep against us...)

I just want to thank the whole Rockets Organization and its Players for winning this game for me, as this will prob. be the only bright upon to my soon to be gruelsome week, being out of commission for 5 days.

If any of you Rockets or even Carmichael Dave see this, keep the momentum going, DONT LET UP! Give it all you got Game #2... And finish off those Lakers!!!

To finish I'll copy/paste some famous video from a particular season:

FROM A #6 SEED THAT WON IT ALL (IF A #6 CAN DO IT, SO CAN A #5!)

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5-1jgNhopNo&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5-1jgNhopNo&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

MAKE ME PROUD ROCKETS!!! GIVE KOBE THE BEATDOWN OF A LIFETIME!

I don't mean to be a debbie downer or anything, but why can't you watch TV after getting teeth pulled out. If anything you should enjoy the games more while on pain killers. :p

Dude, just man up. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled the same day under general anesthetic, then drove my ass home an hour later and had a cheeseburger for dinner that night. Unless you have an incompetent surgeon, you'll certainly be able to watch TV while lying down moaning and crying like a little girl. :D

The only champ on this team is Brent Barry. No one is underestimating his heart.

I'm just tweaking you, dude. But seriously, if all goes well you could be up and around later that day with just a little soreness. Good luck with it!

Don't worry too much. You're really selling yourself short with the whole '5 days' thing.

I had my 4 wisdom teeth CUT out while I was awake with nothing but a couple shots of novacaine, and it wasn't a big deal.

Take it easy, and best wishes.

Good luck in surgery man.. I have predicted that the Rockets will most likely lose game 2, as the Lakers will come out strong, it's a MUST WIN for them. It's equally a big game for us, I don't know if we can pull it off though. Games 3 and 4 are ours IMO.. I don't think LA can beat us at home. I know that they are a really great road team (one of the best in the NBA), but our defense at home is nothing compared to how it is on the road. The defense is impeccable at home... Hopefully it'll go that way, GO Rockets! :D

Come on RF man up like your fellow Rockets. Tell them to transplant some cajones on you while they're yanking your teeth.

I had my wisdom teeth removed and was out the same night with friends. I was eating totally solid food by the next morning. Obviously you'll react differently but you should be well enough to watch the game. The only thing I hated about the entire process was the swelling haha.

    First off, good luck!

It's really not a big deal ;) I never had a surgery either until...several years back I went to my dentist to have one of my wisdom teeth pulled. He tried very, very hard for a good 2 hours but he just was not able to get the damn tooth out. I was frustrated and so was he :) Thankfully he was honest and did not try anything stupid. He told me I had to go to an oral surgeon right away. I drove [myself] to the surgeon's office and the doc smiled and said "piece of cake" which made me so relieved. And just like the gentleman promised, he had the tooth out before I knew it.

Again I drove [myself] home and did not even take any pain medication that night...

I know you will have 2 teeth pulled but don't worry too much because today's doctors and technologies are so advanced. Hope you have a good surgeon to take care of you. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yeah? Well I had ALL of my teeth CARVED out with a rusty Cub Scout knife, then my tongue was YANKED out by a rope tied to a diseased mule. And don't even get me STARTED on the circumcision!

If you're relatively young, you might be surprised how quickly you recover. Good luck!

Y'all were right... I guess when I heard Surgery, I was a bit anxious, going in, I had a 95 BPM (beat per minute)

Now I'm online and I'm eating clear-colored foods, (jello, chicken broth) by Friday, I'll be eating @ Buffalo Wild Wings watching the game! (Hopefully.)

    Hahaha

I remember waking up from wisdom teeth surgery and being high as a kite, full of energy and cracking onto the 2 nurses that were in the room....all the while I had that god awful ice bag around my head!!

    :D

This sounds more like a thread to cheer yourself up. Relax, dude, surgery is just like sex. It will happen, and you will get use to it.
