Houston is very well represented in that survey. Best SG and C, and a good coaching staff. These are good days, my friends.
Thanks J.R.! As always! I think all those "Also Receiving Votes" involving the Rockets are Morley's votes lol... And LOL at Dwyane Wade getting 1 vote for best shooting guard. He's writing himself another note .
All 30 GMs responded to 56 different questions about the best teams, players, coaches, fans, and offseason moves. General managers were not permitted to vote for their own team or personnel. They either vote for someone else or don't vote See Which team will win the Northwest Division? 1. Oklahoma City -- 96.6% 2. Denver -- 3.4% That 3.4% would have been Presti. Also i don't think the miami gm voted
Damn, this is awesome. About as unbiased of a poll as you could get, I would imagine, and still have the voters be really well informed. Where can I place bets on the season??
Actually, I'm a bit surprised/disappointed that neither Sergio Llull nor Kostas Papanikolaou garnered a single vote for best foreign player not in the NBA. (Had they been surveying for the "Top 10 Foreign Players," I'm guessing both those guys show up with multiple votes.) Not at all surprised that Mirotic got the most votes, though. Also gratifying to see Aldemir get some love, even if he's no longer under the Rockets' control.
Lol, tmac just tweeted he is watching the game and feels bad for Kobe because of the team he's coming back to....
Maybe because Llull and Papanikolaou aren't even close to being the best player in Europe? Mirotić also isn't "the best international player NOT in the NBA", he's simply the most talented one. Dario Šarić is fourth on that list, sharing the spot with Navarro, although Dario is currently a crap player. And lol @ Aldemir, someone was probably joking. He was averaging 4 points and 4 rebounds last season in Eurocup, a second-rate tournament.
Dallas and Philly's gms are from the Rockets too, so that neither of them said those two should say something
I think the survey was about the best overseas NBA prospects (and/or players whose games would best translate to the NBA). For instance, I recall a certain Ricky Rubio sucking it up in Spain then taking the NBA by storm just a year later.
