Glover Quinn signs with Detroit, heard it on radio, no link yet. Texans better be able to draft no less than 4 starters ready to step into a playoff team.
Wow, this really pisses me off. Management doesn't seem very committed to winning. That or they think they'll be able to get some ridiculous players in the draft.

They want to win we just have a bad cap situation. I think OD and Schaub contracts really suck for us.
premature on the thread...I wouldn't be surprised if the lions are getting the typical Houston treatment, i.e. used for leverage
Schaub has just the third highest cap hit on the team in 2013; at $10.75MM, it's roughly $250,000 more than Ryan Fitzpatrick's (pre-release). Even in 2014, he's not among the 10 highest-paid QBs in the NFL. Schaub's cap hit is most assuredly not a problem. The problem is that the cap figure went down with the new CBA - from $129MM in '09 to $120MM in '11, and the Texans got caught reconfiguring contracts and finally had to cash those checks. Ten Texans make $80MM; the rest (43, right?), combined, make $40MM - and that doesn't include the FAs or 2013 draft class.
He gone. @AdamSchefter And now Lions web site just tweeted Detroit has a five-year deal with former Texans S Glover Quin. Glad they saw things my way..

Crap. Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter And now Lions web site just tweeted Detroit has a five-year deal with former Texans S Glover Quin. Glad they saw things my way..
I'm not arguing that the team is falling apart because it lost Quin. I'm saying there's no immediate replacement....they will have to either use FA money to replace him, or use a draft pick..... they have other holes I was hoping they'd be able to address with those items, while still keeping Quinn in the fold.
