http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/24/world/24survey.html?hpw The Times is about as liberal as you can get, but the fact is this once again confirms for anyone sensible that one of Obama's greatest achievements thus far is foreign relations and that the world has gained a massive amount of respect for America. If you want to argue that this is a bad thing and he should focus more on domestic affairs, then go ahead, but for now this is one of the crowning achievements of the new administration. As an aside, it is nice to see foreigners have more confidence in the president then Osama, I think that really speaks to the dire nature of America's relations with the world during the Bush era.
Yeah, it sure is paying off in Iran, North Korea, Germany, China, India.... Oh wait, it's not. Seriously, this hasn't helped us one bit. If anything, it's just emboldened the opposition now that we've got a wimpy egghead leading us.
Greater confidence among the German people doesn't get you squat when you have cool (at best) relations with Germany's leadership. Ouch. My point stands. I notice you didn't comment on India, China, North Korea, or Iran. Hmm... I wonder why? Oh wait, no I don't wonder why. I know why -- it's because Obama has taken us backwards in each instance. Egg is on your face.
Jorge, I sincerely don't care about anything you argue. Your credentials on this board and my past experience with you have proven for me that you are worthless. The effort I could put into destroying each one of your individual points is not worth my time or I suspect yours. This is (hopefully) the last post I will ever spend the effort to make about you.
Didn't think you could muster a counter argument. Says a lot about your poorly informed position, actually...
Sure you want to talk about Germany's leader? <table style='font:11px arial; color:#333; background-color:#f5f5f5' cellpadding='0' cellspacing='0' width='360' height='353'><tbody><tr style='background-color:#e5e5e5' valign='middle'><td style='padding:2px 1px 0px 5px;'><a target='_blank' style='color:#333; text-decoration:none; font-weight:bold;' href='http://www.thedailyshow.com'>The Daily Show With Jon Stewart</a></td><td style='padding:2px 5px 0px 5px; text-align:right; font-weight:bold;'>Mon - Thurs 11p / 10c</td></tr><tr style='height:14px;' valign='middle'><td style='padding:2px 1px 0px 5px;' colspan='2'><a target='_blank' style='color:#333; text-decoration:none; font-weight:bold;' href='http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/tue-july-18-2006/headlines---merkel-neck-rub'>Headlines - Merkel Neck Rub</a></td></tr><tr style='height:14px; background-color:#353535' valign='middle'><td colspan='2' style='padding:2px 5px 0px 5px; width:360px; overflow:hidden; text-align:right'><a target='_blank' style='color:#96deff; text-decoration:none; font-weight:bold;' href='http://www.thedailyshow.com/'>www.thedailyshow.com</a></td></tr><tr valign='middle'><td style='padding:0px;' colspan='2'><embed style='display:block' src='http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:cms:item:comedycentral.com:126988' width='360' height='301' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' wmode='window' allowFullscreen='true' flashvars='autoPlay=false' allowscriptaccess='always' allownetworking='all' bgcolor='#000000'></embed></td></tr><tr style='height:18px;' valign='middle'><td style='padding:0px;' colspan='2'><table style='margin:0px; text-align:center' cellpadding='0' cellspacing='0' width='100%' height='100%'><tr valign='middle'><td style='padding:3px; width:33%;'><a target='_blank' style='font:10px arial; color:#333; text-decoration:none;' href='http://www.thedailyshow.com/full-episodes'>Daily Show<br/> Full Episodes</a></td><td style='padding:3px; width:33%;'><a target='_blank' style='font:10px arial; color:#333; text-decoration:none;' href='http://www.indecisionforever.com'>Political Humor</a></td><td style='padding:3px; width:33%;'><a target='_blank' style='font:10px arial; color:#333; text-decoration:none;' href='http://www.jokes.com'>Joke of the Day</a></td></tr></table></td></tr></tbody></table> ouch plus more reasons to love Jon Stewart http://www.truthdig.com/eartotheground/item/20060718_stewart_bush_merkel/
I can't believe how Americans could stand their nation being portrayed as a running joke for the last eight years. Anyways, to continue on the trend of Obama's handling of foreign relations... http://www.csmonitor.com/2009/0721/p08s01-comv.html

hahaha...wow. Any time a political party/commission goes into parody (and this is especially true of the GOP but also strikes a chord with Democrats), it seems destined to fail. For the record though, are we still in the 1950s? I need to pack a Che shirt and grab some Red Army memorabilia if that's the case. would be amusing and I guess life-endangering to walk through rural Texas with that set-up.
