Hey so right now I am a freshman at UH, planning to double major Finance and Accounting however I recently found out about this major that UH offers that seems pretty interesting called Global Energy Management. I was just wondering if anyone has graduated with this degree, or if they know about it, is it a good major, how much can i expect to be paid etc. I have an appointment next week with an advisor but I was just wondering if maybe my fellow cf'ers could fill me in and tell me more about this before I go in, if they have majored in this or their friends. Here is what they have on the UH's website for it.. http://www.bauer.uh.edu/undergraduate/finance/global-energy/ I am planning on doing the GEM track in Finance (Option 2) and here is the site for that (which you can still access from the first link i provided) http://www.bauer.uh.edu/undergraduate/finance/global-energy/track2.asp Thanks!
The money is in finance kid....I did a double few years back....Accounting gets you a job, but very boring. I went throught the public accting then industry. If you are into trading, try to get recruited straight out of school or get into scheduling.
