He has put together one of the youngest lineups in the NBA and all of them have pretty high potential ceilings if all the young bloods stay on course with the plan.

I love the way this team has because a young athletic group nearly over night.
He's to the Rockets future

    Yup.

It's hilariously ironic that the people (90% of this forum) who think the Rockets should blow it up and start over don't even know that this team is a young team, there's nothing to blow up.

They say they're fine with losing for a few seasons to let guys develop but they can't even handle a .500 team for two seasons, lolz.

You still need that STUD to put it all together though, its the only thing Morey hasn't been able to do in his time at GM. He's the Tony Gwynn of GM's, he hits for an high average but hasn't hit that homerun shot yet.

Kinda funny I heard some guy on the radio the other day say that nobody on the Rockets would start for the Clippers, and it's true lol.

The high ceilings for are youngsters is nothing compared to a lot of other young teams out there.

Except unlike most of the younger teams that have better young talent (clippers, okc) we didn't have top 5 picks for the last 5 years, were in the playoffs with a veteran lineup. It's funny to see people compare our team with the Clippers, THEY HAVE SUCH A BETTER TEAM WAHHHHH, when they have owned so many high lotto draft picks.

What team has amazing young talent that didn't draft high in the lottery?

Slo Williams is a worse defender than Aaron Brooks. Fact.

LMAO...no offense and I know this is you guys team to support but if Darryl Morey was not universally praised by NBA media types, you guys would run his ass out of Houston on rails.

The guy has been here for 5 years and your best player is Kevin Martin? And he is barely a starter on a contending team. Other than that, there is not one other player on the entire team team that would universally be a potential All Star.

    I really don't get it.

Well "MemphisX", It wasn't until this year that we knew the prognosis on Yao. Who've we've been waiting to see if he could ever come back to his old form. Which is why we kept Martin and Scola, for in case if he did return to 100% we would have a supporting cast to back him up.

But now that we know Yao probably wont get back to 100%, we can start rebuilding. Which won't take us the entirety of 10yrs to even make the playoffs.. cough*memphis grizzlies*cough

Memphis's franchise has been around since the 90's and your most beloved player is Battier. Nuff said.

right now the rockets don't have anyone with a high ceiling. so lets not get too excited about the current roster.

what we can give morey credit for is being proactive. he got picks/young players for two players that might have just walked away this summer. battier could've decided to sign with a contender, brooks would look for a clear cut starting spot. rather than just loosing them for nothing we gained really nice rebuilding pieces.

How many times have the Rockets beat the Clippers this season ?

This team has the potential to be very good very soon - with the addition of maybe one or two players.

When I look at the roster as it is now -

Lowry / Dragic are both very good players, I bet there would be a dozen teams who would like to have the Rockets current PG combination. Lowry is relentless.

Martin / Lee can both fill it up. Martin is one of the most efficient scorers in the game and Lee has the versatility to play three positions at a high level.

Bidinger / Twill Bud has to improve defensively and become more consistent. He's got the size , athleticism and range offensively to be a force - He just has to .... find some angry dog.
Twill has a lot of skills , I just dont know what to expect from him .... He could turn out to be the best player on this team who knows.

Scola / Patterson / Hill - Scola can get you a good shot just about every trip down the court.
Patterson might not be flashy but he can fil a stat sheet , he's only going to get better.
Hill has all the physical tools but just doesnt seem to have the mental makeup , he needs to play pissed off. Someone needs to piss in his chereeo's on a daily basis. Too big , too strong and too athletic , Im disappointed.

Hayes / Miller / Thabeet Hayes is playing out of position but doing an admirable job. Hopefully the Rockets can land a big in FA or the draft. Resign Hayes and move him back to PF.
Miller was a poor signing , hate to say it but this was five years too late in coming.
Thabeet's size , length ad athleticism are intriguing. Its up to him to find the work ethic to become a better player. He has all the tools , just has to find a way to sharpen them.

Memphis' biggest contribution to the NBA is dumping Pau to the Lakers. Have they even won a playoff game yet ?

Plus, weve pwned Memphis since the Battier for Gay trade.
