Give me a date ... When will the uniforms be unveiled???

The floor arrives Friday and will be put in on that same day. Obviously they can't close the arena to the media since they're having open house the next day with the jersies released.

If it's not 'officially released' on Friday, I have a feeling at least the floor will be in the newspaper on Saturday.

THE UNIFORM WILL BE RELASED THIS WEEKEND.

 

Don't count on it. They will NOT release the uniform until they actuall have them to sell, which they currently do NOT. Tim has said, consistently, that they will only release them when they are able to sell them and that is not the case currently.

The floor has absolutely NOTHING to do with the uniforms.

They want to make a BIG deal out of the uni's and they would absolutely not tie it into an open house and just have the uni's sort of hanging there with no real publicity. They want the uniform unveiling to be its own publicity event, not combined with something else like the open house.

Nevermind the fact that they won't unveil them unless they can sell them right on the spot. And they simply cannot do that until the uniforms arrive, which they haven't to my knowledge.

 

Also, when do single game tickets go on sale? I got a stripper buying me 2 for opening night if she can get them. They love to spend money...lol

 

HELP!!! Anyone have extra tickets to the open house???? I won't be able to hitch a ride to the dealership anytime, if anyone is going pick me up an extra or if you already do please let me know

My guess is that the uniforms won't be unveiled untill the first home preseason game.

 

If the season starts and they still don't have them to sell, what will they do?

The only logical thinking now is that the delay is definitely not planned, but due to poor manufacturing turn-around. Given that they haven't got it done yet, whose to say they'll have it done in time. Will the Rockets have to use the old uni's?

 

If anyone needs extra tix, there are 2 dealerships on my way home. I will stop for them on Friday.

He is advertised as being there. It doens't make sense that they won't release them until they are for sale. They can release the design, have them on preorder if they're good, and sell them when available.

Going by all the evidence plus the repeated 'early Spetember' remark, WHY WOULD IT NOT BE RELEASED THIS WEEKEND. If it's not to be released until they have them for sale, well this is all I have to say (no offense Tim, and not directed at you):

The greedy yuppies in the marketing and sales departments of the organization are stupid and idiotic. If they aren't released this weekend, I sure as hell won't buy any new apparel. It pisses me off that they ****ed up the logo and can't even release a jersey even though it has been seen by many and even profiled in video games, while all the other teams debuted their new threads much earlier in the offseason. I'm not impatient, I just feel all of this (what I'm sure they call 'excitement') crap is crap.

Also Jeff: In my knowledge, open house would be the PERFECT opportunity to release the new uniforms. It will be somewhat of a 'surprise' and the REAL fans would be there as would the local media. This event is widely publicized, so why would they go to the trouble of advertising the open house and then releasing the jerseys just days later?!?! It's just stupid. With the REAL fans there, that will be the perfect opportunity to sell them. They OBVIOUSLY have the final design with them and I'm sure a prototype of the jersey they will wear this season. To answer your question, YES THEY CAN HANG IT UP AND SHOW PEOPLE WHAT THEIR CITY'S TEAM WILL WEAR. It's not that hard to do.

just relax brutha..the unis will be available soon...and you can then spend as much of your money as your little heart desires.

Rockets will be showing the new Uni's soon, Rockets season ticket holders will have a private viewing of the new arena September 25th sort of like a welcome party for STholders

Our tickets will be arriving soon so this Uni unveiling will arrive soon. otherwise ticketholders will know what the new Uni's look like before the public do.

Rockets will not wait till the last minute to unveil uni's because they wanna be able to sell enough for the tip off of the new season.

 

As Tim said, they aren't going to unveil them until they can sell them.

Now, the team will have uniforms for the season. If they get to that point, they won't have much choice but to release them.

My guess is that they will be released "officially" in the next couple of weeks prior to the end of the month. That's just a guess.
