All right, I know I've been hyping this all week, so now I'm afraid nobody will like this girl. But I like her a lot and I'm here first so here is my entry for Girl of the Day: Meg White Meg is one half of the Detroit band The White Stripes. The White Stripes are a blues-based garage rock duo comprised of Meg on drums and her (alleged) brother Jack on guitar and vocals. I saw them last September when they played at Trees here in Dallas and I could not take my eyes off of Ms. White the entire show. You guys may think I'm blowing smoke, but I have yet to see a photo of Meg that truly does her justice. The above pic was taken in Austin at Emo's two days after I saw them. whoa. . . what a misdirect. I like it, though. if all the Girl of the Day thread ever becomes is post after post of Maxim cover girl after Maxim cover girl, where's the fun in that? well, okay, that wouldn't be so bad. but still. . . I think one of the more noble potentials of the Girl of the Day thread is to introduce us to the hidden "Jems" [pun intended] that we might not know about otherwise. way to be the early worm, too, deep.

I'm impressed! I guess posting lots of pics of girls you've all already seen a hundred times isn't a bad idea (and I doubt you all would complain). I'm glad though to see some lesser known women on here! She's cute!
