I don't think step one is considered a step if he had just picked up his dribble. But to be sure, I'd need to watch a GIF...not pictures.

Neither. By the book, it may have been a foul, but I like the no call for the marginal contact. Let 'em play.

Wasn't a travel though, he used that gather step that is legal in the NBA.

You have to take that gather step before you dribble to allow for "three steps". If you take it after, that's your first step...

Maybe he gets the call if he doesn't tuck the ball like a running back looking for the end zone.

He was just looking to draw the foul and the refs weren't calling that stuff in the 4th. Good no-call.

You just don't call this foul when you charge into multiple defenders late in the game when it's crucial. Lebron got the same treatment, Ginobli is no exception.

Also Ginobli has been sucking the whole game so it doesn't matter.

Hell no that wasn't a foul. It looks like a travel by Ginobili. Body contact was created by Manu and Ray Ray got all ball on the steal. Even if there was a foul on that play, refs aren't going to give you that call at the end of a game unless it's really egregious.

LOL @ that video. Not a travel. It shows he gathered the ball in mid-air and took a gather step with his right foot. He's allowed to do that, then take two steps.

The main thing the video shows is that there was a lot of flailing on basically no contact.

Deffinently a travel, judgment call on the foul. I thought it was clean.

No travel and no foul either as ball was stripped prior to flailing as mentioned.

Doesn't really matter, the no call was the right one. Manu should've known better than to try to bully his way into traffic, just a terrible dumb play at the end of a game especially given the magnitude of it.

the last step clearly comes after he's already been fouled a few times

It was foul and then travel.

Obviously, game 7's ticket sales is more important then the integrity of the game.
