Gingrich accused of illegally profiting off campaign

Looks pretty skeevy, but I suspect this happens all the time and this is basically just oppo research. Man, complain all you want about super-rich people in Congress not being able to relate; but it's lifelong politicians like these, who never learned a real profession or built any wealth before coming into office, who are the absolute worst: trying to conjure up a six-figure salary from a completely non-economic skill.

 

There are multiple problems here:

1. If the list was owned by the non-profit, Gingrich can't sell it himself. Even independent of campaign finance laws, this would be problematic.

2. Why is the campaign paying him when it's millions in debt to other vendors?

 

So true. Career politicians are a bane on society.
