Don't hate on Al Khobar. It's a working class town, as is Dammam. Is the Medmac (next to Jarir Bookstore) on Corniche Blvd still there? Also, there used to be a badass Pepsi light up billboard on Pepsi Rd. Is that still there? The discussion of ghetto towns begins and ends with Dhaka, Bangladesh. Bar none, the most vile, polluted, overpopulated, and filthy city I have ever been to in my life.
Oh man, I was just in Lubbock over the weekend for my brother's graduation. Had to be one of the saddest places I've been to. Even the stores right across Texas Tech were shut down. Couldn't be happier to be back in Houston (modern civilization).
Illinois? No kidding? I've always thought that East St. Louis was just a part of St. Louis, Missouri.
Khobar can get bad. Especially the smells, like along King Kalid rd. those smells if ever smelt anywhere else in the world are known as the khobar smell. HAHA yeah, that Pepsi sign is still around. did you know Al shula (sp) burned down? When was the last time you were around? I loved Al Shula. I love this area for the food and burned PC/PS2 software. Part of the reason I posted Al Khobar as one of the places in this thread is I wanted to see how many people would know it. I thought Adeel would know. Didn't know you knew the area Baqui99.
It is. St. Louis is right on the border with Illinois. East St. Louis is across the river from St. Louis. And this is a silly thread. What the qualification for being a ghetto town?
