Getting married

    This Friday at city hall!!!!!!!! Couldn't wait any longer for our families to decide the kind of wedding we should have. It's about time too, been together for ten years.

    Dude, why would it be up to your families to decide what kind of wedding you should have?? Plan it yourselves the way you want it.

    I'm curious. I always thought marriage was a piece of paper (license/certificate) and wedding was a ceremony. Basically you can have a marriage without a wedding. Someone recently told me that a religious person (or I guess judge if you're not religious) has to perform the wedding so you can't have a marriage without a wedding. What is correct?
