does anybody have any stories from their teenage years that involve getting caught with drinking? cuz unfortunatley, now i do. my parents were in ny for teh weekend (i'm a senior in high school) so i kind of threw a get-together. i kept it very small(10 close friends), so it wasn't a party. we were all going to drink except for the drivers, etc, and i had two friends that were just going to sleep at my house. everything was going to be okay. then, one of my friends, we'll call him W, takes it too far and gets wasted off his ass off vodka. now, i'm pretty drunk at the time plus i have work early the next morning so i go to my bedroom and pass out on the bed around eleven in the morning. W was pretty dumb for drinking in the first place because he had to go home and he knew he had to go home, so it was pretty irresponsible. anyway, his mom calls all of our phones cuz he isn't picking up his, and finally my friend D answers and decides to take him home. so they drive him home, explain some story to his mom and then drive back. long story short, i woke up at 1 am with police banging on the doors and flashing lights in the windows. they give the 3 of us sleeping there a ticket and a court date. and trouble from parents. turns out W's mom sent him to the hospital and then called the police on us. i'm kinda pissed about it seeing as how we would have gotten away with a good night of drinking if it hadn't been for W, but on the other hand, i got a story to tell now. and i don't know my punishment yet as my parents aren't home, but i am sure this is the death of my social life for awhile. oh well. anybody else got any getting caught stories?
so W was drunk enough for his mome to have to take him to an emergency room late at night, and you are mad about being caught? lol
can't blame "w's" mom for getting the police involved... i mean, she did have to take her son to the hospital. i'm sure everybody does. what the hay... i'll join in. ... i went to lamar for a little while in beaumont, tx. i lived in a dorm with one roommate and shared the bathroom with two suitemates. i come back from my "friend's" dormroom one night into my room. i remember being thirsty and going to my mini-fridge. i noticed that someone was keeping a bottle of vodka in it. either my roommate or one of my two suitemates. i thought nothing of it. sat down, watched tv for a while and got to thinking about the vodka. i remember having some sprite in my fridge too, so i figured... why the hell not. i mixed the two in a medium sized dixie cup and... well... that's it. i woke up at st. elizabeth's hospital there in beaumont with about seven of my friends standing around me. i noticed i was in a hospital bed, halfway naked (in hosp robe), and wires attached to me. i immediately started crying because it was my first time drinking and i was still in a daze trying to figure out what happened. apparently my friends had to carry me back to my room because i passed out after knocking on people's doors and running off, was running in circles by that big ass library, laying down on people's cars in the parking lot by my dorms, etc. my friends say they found me in my dormroom after a while with an ironing board on top of my head and 2/3's of the vodka bottle gone. anyway, i was feeling that alcohol in my system for the rest of that week. it was common for me to be walking to class one day and have someone that i didn't know point and laugh at me right out of the blue. there's no telling what other kinda schit i did that night. soooo... i thought everything was fine after that week. i thought the hospital bill was somehow going to magically pay for itself out of some kind of fund or something. about a week later i get a call, "AARON! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS THREE HUNDRED DOLLAR BILL IN THE MAIL THAT WE GOT!!!" I was thinking to myself.... oh...schit. The folks eventually calmed down and just wished that i would have told'em what happened instead of waiting for them to stumble across it. whenever i tell that story to someone, they always think that something was in the vodka because of me blacking out after one cup, but again, i was my first time drinking and i'm not sure what proportions of vodka and sprite in put in it. who knows?
I was 14 ......women's section of the sears catalog came in the mail .........yada yada yad.................
I wasn't caught enough, in my youth. Just be thankful that no one was seriously hurt. People have drank themselves to death. If you don't plan on getting plastered, then leave the heavy stuff out of it. Vodka, is one of the most seductive drinks there are. You could be having fun and then you wake up and can't remember what happened. As a host, you are unltimately responsible for those around you. The host should always look after his guests, before his buzz and there should always be at least 1 designated driver. I have a son the same age as you, so I apologize for the lecture. Good luck, next time.
I never drank in high school but I MORE than made up for it in college. And then some. As far as getting caught doing that other thing, I was probably 13 or so and it was in my room watching The Benny Hill Show.
i'm mad that W wasn't responsible enough to stop drinking. everybody should know their limits, and he wasn't even supposed to be drinking. i mean, what goes through your head when you're getting plastered? you know what you're doing, and he screwed us all. of course when he called me in the morning i asked him if he was okay. since he is okay, i think i have a right to be really pissed off. i guess maybe he was like omega where he has a low tolerance and didn't know what he was doing, but it's pretty ridiculous. i may be the host, but i can't babysit the kid. i don't think his mom was right to call the cops cuz we got her son home safe, why would you call the police on us? D even talked to her when he dropped W off. why would she think that if there was someone as bad as winston out there that we wouldn't be taking them home as well? the whole thing just sort of sucks, but whatever. it's a story to tell, right?
lol, you're mad at him for his irresponsibilities? you are in high school and providing alchohol to other minors as well. yep, i can see how you're justified in being upset.
I should make some kind of post about how you need to be more responsible, but all I can think of is why would you, or your friends, not lie about where you were? I mean, everyone should have said they were going to a late movie, or something like that?
So y'all were drinking heavily in the MORNING (since you passed out at around "eleven in the morning")... You were so drunk you slept 14 hours until you were awakened by the police at 1:00 AM? Of course later in your story you mention "a good night of drinking"... Which was it? Hopefully your parents won't be punished by the law for YOUR irresponsibility.
If you drink enough to 'pass out', you deserve getting caught. That's irresponsible behavior, but hey it's your life.
I had a little bit of a problem at the age of 16, I was suppose to be staying at a mates house (so my parents thought anyway) yet we ended up and a 18th birthday party that got a little out of control. One thing lead to another and after drinking straight bourban for a while I got a phone call from my old lady. At this time she asks me where I am so I decide to do what everyone would do and lie and say I'm at my mates house just chillin, She asks who with and I say his 14 yr old sister who I am trying to f*&^ (I don't know why this came out as I wouldn't have even touched her if my mates paid me) . Lets just say it didnt go down to well with the olds and I wasn't allowed out for a while That was 6 years ago and I still can't drink bourban.
i misworded it...passed out at eleven at night. and i don't mean i passed out by drinking, just that i was drunk and that in my drunkeness i was real tired and decided to go to bed at 11 as i had work at 9 the next morning. parents aren't getting punished. i got a ticket and a court date. fortunatley, the girl that was the 3rd person at my house's dad is some lawyer and he said he'd come with us. not that court is that big of a deal as i think that it's just dealing with the fine and community service. and as for mentioning his name...whoops. i'm actually sort of suprised at how some of you are reacting to news of underage drinking. is it only super popular around these parts (chicago), because i thought it was a common thing. that's pretty interesting.
I don't think any one is surprised at underage drinking. I am just surprised that you rag on your friend when all of you were irresponsible. You, more so, because you are putting your folks at risk by "hosting" and providing alcohol to other underage drinkers. You have a court date. If you need a lawyer, who will pay? Do you have the money? If not, your folks have an unnecessary burden simply because they had the decency to trust you and look where it got them, you and "W". It is a shame that your parents trusted you enought to leave you alone. I guess they didn't know you as well as they thought.
