    Not a charge and it should never be a charge when a defender sits there waiting to get ran over instead of playing actual defense.

    The charge call is one of the reason basketball has gotten so damn soft.

    I don't have to take a charge from an NBA player to know it's a p***y move.

    You got 7 footers in the paint taking charges on Point Guards driving into the paint.

    If it wasnt for the charge guards would COMPLETELY dominate the game. the charge gives interior defenders and help side defenders a chance. You can't always block a shot as a good defender, but you can almost always get into position to draw a charge.

    "if it wasn't for the charge"? How about it's just unfair to bully your way into the basket? Yes, I'll call that a foul in streetball. :eek:

    When he put his knee up, it was a charge. If he just jumps and avoids the player completely by opening up his legs or doesn't touch the defender, then it's not a charge.

    Flower Mound's not too far from me. The DFW area is stacked with some of the best high school basketball in the state. Flower Mound may have the best basketball team in Flower Mound Marcus and Flower Mound High School may have one of the best players in the state (whose name I forget... lol).

    I'll say it would have been a charge but the defender did 2 things wrong.

    Before the dunk he put his arms up to shield his face from the guy's knee and he leaned backwards instead of fully taking the charge.
