Last year Yao went out with a broken foot and a 12 game winning streak. The team with out Yao went on to win 10 straight after all setting a team record 22 straight wins. This year we have a 2-0 record to start and need 8 straight more to get Yao to 22. Lets get Yao to 22!
Actually, Yao was 16-0 last year when he went out, he won 4 in a row, sat out the Utah game with the flu came back and won 12 in a row, then had the broken foot diagnosed. So, technically Yao has won his lat 18 games in a Rocket's uniform. DD
This team is not about Yao Ming's winning streak. If Yao gets his personal 22, great, if he doesn't, nobody's gonna cry about it.
If... this team wins it's first 10 games.......(which will not happen) they will probably win 30 in a row.
Ya, hate to be a pessimist. But we don't have the chemistry yet to win 10 in a row with a tough schedule.

Fun thread. But from a historical aspect I'd bet that there's not many guys who led their team in scoring that could say they won 18 straight games he played in the NBA. After tonight ( ) rough days ahead, but that Mavs game did feel like last year before Yao went down. That we extended the winning streak to 22 was something that gave me great love for everyone on the team. Jeez, I'll always remember BJax was once a Rocket and not just because of the Artest trade.
i hate being the wide-eyed optimist, but we can and will win 10 straight to open the season. After the performance against the Mavs and what i assume will be domination of OKC we will be riding a high that will help us overcome Boston Tues. Lets see the finals MVP against Ron. Leon Powe will not be able to do those absurd things against Landry.
PS. Eddie House can't keep up with Brooks if his life depended on it. Seeing how we switch Aaron for Usain Bolt, I don't see how anybody can keep up with the guy.
I dont care about 60 wins plus, I will be happy with 55 or lower as long as it means healthy performance in the PO's by both our YnT
