Clutch I don't know if this has been addressed yet, but is there a way we could send a little memo from all the Mo fans at clutchcity that he could somehow get? Everybody seems to be preoccupied with how we are going to replace him, but after reading oeilpere's post, that is just too sad, and we should let him know that he's still got our support, or at least he does among some of us.
I think it would be totally cool if a BBS member made a nice card, signed it, then mailed it to another BBS member, who would sign it and send to another, etc.. etc.. The card could eventually make it around the world and back again before someone gave it to Mo. This type of idea would have to be well-organized to work, but it would definitely be neat, and you never know, a feel-good story like that might even get some press for the site.
That's a good idea. I am a part-time cartoonist...maybe I can contribute something original to the card? you dont wanna get mo a Hallmark. Too sappy. gotta get him something original!
I heard FTD has these really great "Get Well" flower bouquets. Maybe we could get Merlin Olsen to deliver it too!
One idea that might work is we have one person make a jumbo card and then everybody can fax or email him a scanned picture of your note and sig to add to the card. So then one person is in charge of printing everything out and securing it to the card. But it would half to look like it wasnt pasted down so maybe put it all together and then get Kinkos to make a copy on one of those jumbo copiers of theirs. That might be a little more workable.
Or even have several cards circulating around and then getting them all put under glass with the site's logo in the center. Something nice and classy.
Why don't we use this thread to post our get-well wishes to him and then print them out and fax to him? This would be the most natural way to express our wishes.
Why don't we include the threads where..people are saying that losing Mo isn't that big of a deal and now we can play Griffin? Maybe include that last Rodman thread!
I like the idea. I think a note from us with the names of everyone. My suggestion, rather than an actual signature, would be a general get well message and all the names of those who wish to participate on it with their BBS nicknames and maybe a short message. We could post it online and then send the link to the Rockets for them to send to him. I could pretty much guarantee we get it to the right person to get it through to him. By doing it online, it retains its virtual feel. We could do a cool graphic or something to go along and the name of each person and a short personal message with the nickname. Shouldn't be too tough and I think it would be a nice thing to do.
I think we should just start a new thread for this, as the thread may become a bit cluttered with things that are not[/o] things for the card. (I'm not helping, am I? )
