Well I'm here in Houston, made it through traffic on Beltway 8 (when did Houston get toll roads?), soaked up the humidity and 90 degree weather, checked in and going to have Whataburger to round out my reacclimation to Houston. We still doing the Clutchfans get together at Live Sports Cafe on Thursday? I'm still looking forward to meeting other Clutchfans. What time do things get started and if people are coming late, after 10, I'm more than happy to stick around longer. Otherwise I will have to oblige Coma and stop by Treasures. Also anyone mind if a few other Judo competitors come with me? Looking forward to meeting Rhester for Krosfyah for lunch Tuesday at Yao's. I'm going to make reservations for three but I'm sur we can try to squeeze in anyone else who wants to stop by.

Hmmm... This thing looks like its about as popular as a 'Thanks for a good job' party for David Carr. Anyway hope some of you can make it out. Also thanks to Rhester, Krosfyah and Mad Max for lunch at Yao's yesterday. It was great to finally be able to put some faces to screen names and also have something of a D & D live discussion. As for the food at Yao's thought it was OK not great but not terrible either was dissapointed though that I didn't see any Shanghai specialties on the menu. There's definately a lot better places for Chinese food but its worth it for the experience of seeing Yao's family and also the fixtures scaled to Yao.
Thanks for reposting in the thread Sishir. I'll get there between 5:30 and 5:45. No I don't mind if your other judo buddies come along....especially if we are the only ones there!!!! haha. I have a couple of friends coming with me too. And what is with all the "akperez & hottie friends references"? LOL
I may have to fly in for this, just to see some hot chicks...akperez, holla at your boy... If you're going to be downtown, have a couple of drinks at Slainte Irish Pub or the Whiskey Bar at Hotel Icon, or even State Bar...Have fun guys...
I'm planning to drop in and see one of my favorite posters, before I pick my daughter up at 7:00. Should be between 5:30 -6:30 then, depending on parking. Where does one park at that hour? I've got to run from there to the Hobby Center to get my girl after.

It would have been better if you were here till tomorrow and came out to Live on Fridays because it's a lot more fun with Poker and Karaoke and stuff. Thursdays are cool too but more happy hour sports bar people hanging out kind of thing... What time you guys going to get there?

Well I will be in town on Friday and am staying not to far from there but I compete on Sat. I'm not going to be much fun. I'm leaving on Sun. midday but on Sat. will be out painting the town with fellow Judoka. We have a fine tradition of slamming, pinning and choking the life out of each other followed by slamming brews with your opponents. If Live Sports Cafe seems pretty good maybe I'll get the guys to head over there.
I propose we have a drink tonight in honor of this wretched season being over finally!!! Here's to a productive and fruitful draft and a better season in 06-07!!!

I'm in town right now, but like I mentioned before we have plans tonight to eat at Goode Company Barbeque. I MAY be able to make an appearance, but I wouldn't count on it. I can almost certainly do Live tomorrow night, though.
