I don't know if this has been posted already, but I thought this was pretty funny. . . Smart advice helped this Mini Moochie Rockets reserve guard Moochie Norris, who beat the Knicks last week with a last-second shot, can thank Cavaliers assistant Keith Smart for helping him reach his NBA dreams. It seems that while playing for Smart with the Fort Wayne Fury of the CBA five years ago, the 6-1, 175-pound Norris was considered by many scouts to be too small. It didn’t help that he liked to wear a baggy uniform with big shorts. Realizing that the oversized duds weren’t helping his cause, Smart convinced his star player to wear a smaller, tighter-fitting uni. Norris agreed, and was soon glad he did. Within weeks, Smart says, scouts were commenting on Norris’ improved physique and asking what kind of weight program he had been using. Eventually Norris got a shot with the Grizzlies, and then the Sonics, and is now a key member of the Rockets rotation. Says Smart: "I tried to convince all my guys to at least look like NBA players. Sometimes those little things can help."
