Amaechi and Cato to backup Yao? Cuttino Mobley, Adrian Griffin, Eric Piatkowski, Jim Jackson, and Bostjan Nachbar at the 2-3? Not gonna happen. There's a monster lurking in Houston and his name is Big Splash. Knock, knock, Kelvin. Knock, knock, Cuttino. He's at the door.

I hope so, because nachbar is the only one who has size to play small foward.

Jim Jackson is not tall, but he is strong. I would have no problem with him getting the majority of the minutes at SF.

Actually, seems like our rotation is set:

    SF - Jackson - AGriff - Nachbar (12th man)
    PF - AGriff - Mo
    C - Yao - Cato - Amaechi (11th man)
    SG - Cat - Pike
    PG - Steve - Moo

There is your twelve with our IR to be filled possibly by Wilks and someone else.

You can never have too much depth. I like our team. :)

We're having Adrian Griffin play the 4? Things are worse than I imagined...;)

you know what I think you're right because Jeff Van Gundy has mentioned a few times that he envisions Francis playing off the ball at times. Theres too many good players vying for playing time at the 2 and 3 spots. So I don't see how this is gonna work unless Francis racks up his minutes playing point guard at all times.

I expect another trade to happen involving Mobley. Maybe that Rasheed Wallace deal is still on the table.

JJ is our starting sf, book it. Most likely there is no immediate deal in the works. This is it.

You don't have to be tall to be a sf, just scrappy and tough.

    Ask Ellie.

    A. griff played 3,4 and 5 last year with dallas, I remember he had abnormally long arms for his size. In fact I do remember him guarding yao last year when queef and stickboy were in foul trouble.

All this is going down as KG sits on an offer from Minn... Coincidence? I hope we are going after KG in a big way. If we were somehow able to swing KG AND keep Francis and Yao (I don't care who else we give up), we would be contenders to win it all! I don't care how good the west is. We would have the most dominant front line in the league, along with one of the most explosive backcourt player.

I hope it's not Oneal or Wallace. They pale in comparison to KG!!

I really don't care about giving up Rice. We weren't likely to get much more for him had we held out. A 1st rounder doesn't bother me because its likely to be a mid/high 1st rounder. Amaechi is a FA after this year and only makes 2-3 MIL per. I imagine we will keep him and let him walk or package him in a trade.

Signing Jim Jackson was the key for me. Good shooter and from what I remember, a good defender. Just what we needed for the 3. JJ > Posey.

This deal definitely improves our chances to overtake Phoenix and/or Portland for a higher playoff seed.

We should buy out mooch then try to bring Drew or Maloney out of retirement.

Codell, Meech has 2 years left on his contract, this year and next.

    I believe it is coincidence.

Also, are you on crack? At this rate, I'd crap my pants if we got any of those three players... you "hope it's not O'neal or Wallace".... sheesh...

Didn't see that player option that he will surely excercise after next season. :)

You know the more I think about it the more I think you are right! Something Big has got to be in the works. After all isn't the Rockets slogan "Be Apart of Something Big!"

I just can't beleive that you give up a

    10 milllion dollar expiring contract

1 lottery protectd 1st round draft pick

1 unprotect 1st round pick (from the bulls) or 2 second round picks

unless you are getting something really big back.

We better make a spot for Jermain O'Neil.
