Cheap shot flagrant by Bynum, hope the kid is okay. I've always liked his game, but he does risk his body alot

Hope he recovers. I still haven't seen the play. ESPN goes straight to the OT.

Bynum is officially a punk. I hope he gets fined.

Trying to find a vid up on youtube to attach to the thread. I thought he might have just got the air knocked out of him but good god a collapsed lung. Bynum needs a lot of things to happen to him for this.

At the time, I thought Wallace would get back up by the time they returned from commercial. He was in a lot of pain but I didn't think it was that serious.

Dude plays a reckless brand of basketball but doesn't have the body to take the pounding. It seems like he gets multiple injuries every season.

Cheap shot? so you want him to waltz his way to the basket like he was doing all night? Bynum was clearly not in a good defensive position and hence made some hard contact with his body.

Man first Redd and now Wallace, sucks for these two guys. How serious is a collapsed lung anyway? I really have no idea.

I agree that Wallace goes all out all the time, which is why if I remember correctly his nickname is Crash, but this was a simple drive to the basket. Nothing reckless at all about it. Bynum just gave him what looked like a forearm judo chop/elbow to the ribs while Wallace was in the air without even trying to play the ball. It was cheap and dirty play by Bynum and he needs to be fined and suspended for multiple games.

so what do you expect Bynum to do, just give up the layup?

If you can't do it without hurting the guy then don't do it, you could see Bynums face when he did it and he wasn't just trying to stop him from scoring. And I can't find a video for this anywhere but it was obvious that Bynum was trying to take Wallace out of commission.

He wanted to foul him and make a play on the ball obviously (he had 7 block btw) but wallace did an excellent job of tucking the ball away from Bynum so he made body contact with him. It's unfortunate that it turned out be a nasty collision but there's no doubt that Bynum was going to foul him but that doesn't mean he wanted to hurt him in any way or form.

there is a big difference between fouling hard, and fouling with intent to injure. Intent to injure is stuff like Bruce Bowen does. I havnt seen this vid yet so idk about this one
