Kings' rookie Gerald Wallace scored 27 points today against the Sonics in his first summer league game (I think) -- he hit 11-25 shots. Turkoglu had 26. Rashard Lewis had 24 and Radmanovic 20 (though just 1-7 from long range). Seattle won 97-96.

Thanks for the info Clutch. You're right about Wallace, he did have 27. Not sure if he hit any jumpers or if all his points came off layups and dunks though.

Miles continued to play well with 27 points against the Lakers. Dooling had 20, but got killed by everyone on the defensive end.

Korleone Young disappointed apparently. He's clueless in the triangle, despite being on their summer league team the past two years.

I heard about some undrafted summer league rookie from NC State that has been playing well. Here's a clip of him for anyone that's interested Damon Thornton

I'll be looking forward for a report of the first Rockets' summer league game Swopa [IMG]

I kept on saying that Gearld Wallace is going to be very good and he's already starting to prove me right. However, this is just a summer league game so it's not worth too much atention. But watch out because here he comes!!!

Well he scored 25 in a game yesterday. He also grabbed 7 boards and had 3 assists. Hedo Turkoglu exploded for 32 pts., grabbed 4 boards, and had 3 assists. Looks like the Kings last 2 draft picks have turned out to be steals....

Remember we were saying the same things about Langhi last year after his summer league performance... [IMG]

Anybody notice that D. Harvey got to the line 25 times? Wow.

I apologize if this has been posted elsewhere, but are they playing these games under the new rules?

    grummett,

Not from what I've heard. They're still playing man to man. Maybe because they want to get a feel for how good a player is defensively and not let him have the chance to hide his weaknesses in a zone.

As of last summer, I had never heard of this website. And is that why eveybody loves Langhi around here? Because he played well in summer ball?

    Greg,

That's a huge reason. Langhi was unbelievable in summer league play. He looked like the find of the draft, and he still has those skills. However, what the summer league last year with Dan showed me was that the league caters a lot to the individual, and not to the concept of team play. Langhi still has good skills, but it's obvious when you watch him play with the Rockets that he is used to having the offense run through him, and he looks awkward being a complimentary piece who plays on the weak side, etc.

But, to sum up your question, that is a large reason why people like Langhi on this board... the dude was unbelievable in the RMR last year-- you wouldn't believe it until you saw it.
