    Unrestricted FA this summer.

    Houston native.

He is still only 26 years old.

He's proving he's matured and learned the game.

Can play the 2 and 3 spots.

    13pts a game, 50% FG and 40% 3PT

I think he deserves a serious look. He's not going to be the superstar we want so much, but he'd bring us more versatility and athleticism, with the potential to be just short of an all-star. He's got the tmac-lift to get his own shot, something no Rocket has right now. I know another role player sounds redundant around here, but we still need to keep tweaking other spots until we sign, trade, or draft a star. If we can make some moves (martin and bud) to free up minutes, a 1/2/3 rotation of Lowry or dragic(both??), Lee, Green, and Parsons would be a nice group.

Why would he sign here? Because the guy still loves to rep houston. If there's any local player, who i'd bet on coming here for less money, it's him.

Should Houston make an offer? How much?

Let's see how the offseason shakes out, but I think he is finally getting it.

Bring back Von Wafer on the cheap... he dropped 16 (3-4 3PT), 8, and 4 a few nights ago w/ ORL.

Those are inflated stats on a bad team. Not very inflated at that. Nope. Still sucks.

just because he's on a bad team doesn't mean that the teams he's playing against are any softer. It just means he's getting a chance

Definitely looks more mature and under control now on the court.

Not to mention he has a good skill level, can create his own shot, amazing athlete, home town kid, and can play either wing position.

I'd go after him this off season.

Does that mean any good player on a bad team sucks?

Gerald Green may not be a franchise-changer but he has definitely improved for the better and is a solid wingman. I'd gladly take him over Chase Budinger.

I wouldnt. Arguably Budingers stats would be more inflated than Gerald Greens if the Nets had to depend more on him for scoring than the Rockets do.

    No way.

Budinger gets his points right now because he's not even close to being the focal point. He can slip to open spots and spot up. Put him in a bigger role, teams will zero in on him, force him to dribble, and he'd struggle. The only way he'd put up numbers is, if he kept coming off of picks, but even Novak can do that.

As for inflated stats, look at his shooting %. If he was shooting poorly i'd agree with you. Anyone can put up 13-15 a game with a lot of touches on a bad team. However he's shooting well. From downtown he's been consistent.

You must not follow him at all this year, he's a different player/person.

YES!! We need more players with dynamic ability

Currently our team is not dynamic. It is like pegs in a board, rigid, and can only make so many different patterns.

Goran is probably our most dynamic player... We need more like him
