I might be the last one to be aware of this, but didn't see a thread and this deserves one.

Feel bad when anyone's injured, but might as well be an injury that helps the Rockets. :)

Pau Gasol is a whiny beeyotch whose sense of entitlement couldn't be any more plain, but, yeah, you hate to see anyone get injured.

But hopefully it won't hurt the Rockets to have Memphis one main guy out for the year.

Watch Stromile get lots of clock, do real well, and REALLY put himself beyond our price orbit.

For some reason, I hate Paul Gasol. I guess its because he runs around like a wimp and flops everywhere on the court. Oh well, better for the rockets

I hate Gasol and his crying baby routine. It's not good to see anyone get hurt, but this is good for the Rockets, which in turn, is good for me. :)

If he is out for the season, I wonder how this impacts Stromile Swift's value. I haven't looked, but I assume he gets more PT with Gasol out. More PT for Swift has to equal higher rebounding/shotblocking/scoring numbers, which for him is like a gift from the sky going in to free agency.

He's been hurt himself lately, with a left ankle sprain. Swift hasn't played in 2 weeks.

Brian Cardinal is starting at the 4, put up 28 a few nights ago, and 20 today.

Additionally if this injury does keep Gasol out for the rest of the season than I have to believe that Memphis will try even harder to retain Swift this offseason.

Personally I think that Iverson tends to neigh like a horse the most - so I would say he whinnies the most - although reading this thread you'd think Gasol whinnied all the time. I'm not sure Duncan has ever let out a whinny...

    Whiner
    v. whined, whin·ing, whines

    1. To utter a plaintive, high-pitched, protracted sound, as in pain, fear, supplication, or complaint.
    2. To complain or protest in a childish fashion.

Maybe we could ask who is the biggest whiner :p

Sweet! I hate Gasol. He whines more than anybody in the L.

This is really good news for the Rockets too.

Hopefully this ensures us of the #6 seed (unless the Kings fall apart and we move up to #5).

Yeah, that was my thought exactly when I heard the news. I've pretty much dropped the idea of signing him entirely now that New Orleans (and is it Atlanta?) have significant cap room.

looks like cardinal has been stepping it up recently with gasol out.

yeah no matter how much i cant stand gasol i dont wish injury on anyone, cept Malone but he is out of the league now (thank you Lord)

but this does improve the rockets chances slightly to keep that 6th spot, the recent 3 game slide didnt help as memphis does have enough depth to keep playing at a high level even without gasol but i think if the rockets can win hte next few games w/o sura they have at least the 6th seed locked
