Gasol, JWil ???

Just out of curiosity, where are these rumors coming from that Gasol is available?

Gasol is the reigning ROY and is the best all around player the Grizz has. He can score outside, inside, he rebounds, he blocks shots, and hes a decent assist man for a 4. I just don't believe that the Grizz are actively shopping him. IMO, Gasol's upside is much better than Gooden's.

Anyway, assuming he is available, the Grizz would not give up Gasol and JWill unless you are willing to offer Mobley and/or Griffin in return.

That is my take for what it's worth.

 

Excluding that core, the Griz would want Cato and Moochie and Posey. Although I could accept that, the Grizz would be crazy. Also, can Gasol actually play SF? Otherwise, it is mighty crowded at PF. And who would be our backup center? All in all, IMO we would be totally and royally.....messed up. On second thought, I decline.

 

Francis and Yao are the only untouchables.

I'd trade Mobley and Griffin and whoever else the Grizz want for Gasol and J. Willams.

 

Gasol could not be had IMHO, even if you offer up Cato....give me a break, to suggest that we could have a guy that destroyed us for Cato (backup extraordinaire) and anything short of Mobley is just not realistic.

I think the Grizz could get Carter for Gasol and Williams which beats the heck out of anything the rockets would be willing to offer. Maybe even Brand... Either way, a 7' with skills and a ROY title would be expensive

 

you'd hate your backup pg to be jwill? i guess you haven't been paying attention to him this season. he's quietly tearing up. by the way, you do realize that we currently have the worst and most overpaid backup pg in the league, right?

 

Jason Williams is exactly the kind of point guard that could tear this team's chemistry straight to hell. I wouldn't want him, and I am certain I wouldn't want to give up what it would take to get Gasol.
