I hate Gary Payton the way most people hate Karl Malone. It's funny, but I've always had more vitriol for Seattle than Utah. I mean, back in the day, we BEAT Utah, and beat them handily. The stinkin' Sonics, though, always had our number. Payton and Kemp and Schremph and John Lithgow -- I absolutely despised that team. I hated the Sonics. I hated the city of Seattle. I hated the state of Washington. I hated John Lithgow and all of his movies (not much of a sacrifice, really. I was never a big fan of Harry and the Hendersons, anyway). I hated the Sonic fastfood chain. I hated the Sonic videogame. And most of all, more than anything, I hated Gary Payton. Pass.

Even though we all hate karl malones guts, would he not be the perfect fit next to yao. Malone can still rebound and defend, but doesnt bang in the paint anymore on the offensive end. If he wasnt named karl malone I would to have a PF of his skills. His jumpshot is one of the most consistant in the league.

I'd rather have Fisher - at least he can make outside shots. Gary's defense is no longer any better than Steve's, and he shoots 3's at a 30% clip. The only thing he does better is posting up, and I'd rather have Yao do that.
