Thats a hard pick, he led with the shoulder. I'm pretty sure thats not what a pick is supposed to do.
Did you guys hear JVG say "Garnett just gave Vujacic a cheap shot running back down the floor" during the Lakers-Celtics telecast? I wish they had shown it.
what is even more upsetting is the league turns a blindeye to KG's antics. we have yao getting called for ticky tack fouls, but they let perkins and KG have their way with anyone.
i am pissed off at the league. if Yao isn't in the league, i would be totally through with them. what a ****ing *******. so sick of him and everything that goes with him.
That's not a pick, that's an NFL quality shoulder block. I'd like to see KG try that on someone like Vonta Leach, Leach would run him over.
Man, KG is picking on young players. If KG tried that **** on a vet like Kirilenko, Kirilenko would have stopped a foot before he hits KG's shoulder, fall down and draw a foul.
someone needs to set him straight, maybe artest? but then the commissar would suspend him a good 10 games. =/
Oh wow, that's pure BULL. And look how after he does it, he looks straight at the ref and the ref doesn't even make a call. WOW PURE BULL
Quit being soft guys. I'm no KG fan by any means but that wasn't bad at all. It was a nice hard pick. Ain't nothing wrong with a little contact. Get up and dust yourself off Belly.
Me neither. As I see it, it's No Harm, No Foul. As Pat Riley once said, " I see more contact in the men's restroom line"
He clearly led with his shoulder. Looks it up in any rule book -- you can't do that. If the screener holds, leans or moves into the direction of the defender to cause contact it's a foul.
Is it a foul? Probably. Flagrant like the video says and how some of you guys are making it out to be? Hardly. If you see somebody running at you, you better stand tall, put weight on your legs and flex otherwise its you (KG) that's going to fall. Granted, Belly is a small guy and the Celtics were losing KG did not have to "MAN" up like that out of frustration. If he really wanted to hurt him it could have been much worse like a block in the NFL think Hines Ward on Ed Reed (I'm sure you know all about that ). I'm not trying to say the same rules in the NFL should apply to the NBA but the NBA today is soft as hell. Plays like that during the 80's and early 90's was the NORM. Today people are blowing up over a mild pick. But it is what it is. It was a nice tough play.
