    The link

KG is becoming more and more ridiculous by the day. Talk is cheap, both KG saying that and the owner repeating it to the media.

Well he said it in private to the owner/his boss. It's not like he said it a press conference. I'm not going to jump on this.

That's just him expressing optimism and enthusiasm to this owner. Absolutely nothing wrong with this. Non-story.

I know they taking it in 2011.

2010 is a Houston Sports year.

I can't condemn KG cuz he's one of my favorite players.

Is this going to be the next great stat curse?

Devin Harris said "I knew we were going to be a playoff team" earlier in the season, and Mo Williams guaranteed a Cavs series victory against the Magic. Will be interesting to see how this pans out.

There's nothing wrong with him saying this. It's just kind of funny that the NBA's former Chairman of Mediocrity is out there guaranteeing titles left & right now.

with rajon rondo's stellar play in the playoffs this year, garnett definitely has reason to be excited. big baby also improved significantly. doesn't mean that they are winning the titles for the next two years, but i can understand his enthusiasm.

how could he possibly think they have any shot just because they won it last year and were without their best player this year? what does he think theyll get better with their best player back? what a grade A moron.

What's up with those stupid guarantees? If he's right, he gets a candy? If he's wrong, he's going to jail?

I mean, what's the purpose or repercussion of such guarantees?

Didn't Ron Artest say anything less than a championship with the Rockets would be a disappointment? Come on now, folks.....as a player, you HAVE to have this mentality. If you don't, well, then you become like.....no, that's too easy.

If you're at work and your boss asks if you're going to get that big account, or nail the presentation, or meet your work goals/expectations, what do you say?

I hate KG with a passion, but the dude was blowing smoke up his boss' ass, not the media. It happens to the best of us.

He, of all people, should know that all it takes is an injury to change their season. If he knew that everyone would be healthy, maybe. However, since nobody has the ability to foretell the future, no not even KG, he should probably be quiet. These guarantees always make me chuckle.

I think Artest even said Sacramento would win a Championship when he was with them.

I will say I will do my best, and I am confident that I will get it.

However, I wouldn't say that I will guarantee we will be the No. 1 in industry. If I said that, my boss would probably have asked me whether I would bet my bonus on it, or simply just tell me to GFO :)

Not because it's KG, not Yao or TMac or Ron who's making a useless guarantee, but because it's not going to affect anything in or around NBA, except for some message board material. Well, I guess that was the whole purpose of it. But I am so sick and tired of the whole winner mentality or whatever crap leadership style.
