Back in the summer, Trump talked about establishing the Garden of American Heroes. Here is the XO and the list of heroes that was released yesterday. https://www.whitehouse.gov/presiden...can-heroes/?utm_source=link&utm_medium=header
I think it could be cool. I'd like each statue to get a biography to handle the sometimes mixed history of major figures.
I don't consider many actors, singers, and authors to be American heroes. I think we can scrap this one into the garbage.
Its brilliant and inevitable. Future generations need statues to tear down too now that we are removing the ones from the past. Neil Armstrong yelled at his wife once. Tear it down! I cut my hand on a glass lightbulb and required stitches. Down with Edison!
It could create jerbs, right? A whole department dedicated to pruning the garden and moving the statues in and out of storage. The far left in San Francisco is currently proposing to remove the name of nearly every president from the elementary and junior high schools all around town, because in each case, they can underline a historical act that is now a full-on transgression. This includes... Abraham LIncoln. So no, not teaching the context and actual complex history of real human beings, warts and all. I guess we'll end up with schools named after various plants, as long as none of the plants cause allergies or act as poisons to dumb pets.
Trump: "And ... I'm going to make Antifa pay for it." List of names [ with my additions, giving +1 to Immigrates from oppression ] overall, impressed with the list (b) Section 3(c)(i) of Executive Order 13934 is amended to read as follows: “The National Garden should be composed of statues, including statues of Ansel Adams, John Adams, Samuel Adams, Muhammad Ali, Luis Walter Alvarez, Susan B. How much traction is that actually getting? It seems a lot of these things are done for publicity and to put a marker down for how woke they are.
