I'm not sure if I've ever seen any team, much less a top 10 team, limited to 4 total yards in an entire half. Wow... these Sooners are legit.
4 total yards at halftime? I'm never picking against OU again.... Oh, and I really hope that those who claimed Simms' season was over after the loss to OU aren't still claiming Wallace for Heisman after the game. Barring dramatic wins over KSU/UT/CU, Wallace's Heisman campaign is dying. Big games make or break players, and this is a beyond-miserable game (1-12, 0 yards, 2 picks, -16 rushing yards?). The only thing that he has going for him is big performances against Florida State and Iowa. Ricky won it after horrible games against UCLA & K-State, but he did it by dominating the rest of the way, with the exclamation against a #6 A&M team. That's what it would take for Seneca.
Agreed, but I see him having a tough game next week as well. If there's a weakness to the Texas defense, it's their ability to stop the run. Our secondary has been fantastic, and if we can just get a little bit of pressure on Wallace, he's going to have to force a lot of throws. It would be very appropriate for the final today to be 63-14... this is an almost identical game.
Although I'm glad we're up so much, I'm kinda dissapointed the Seneca is doing so bad. I was pulling for a Big XII player to get the heisman (even Simms for a while). Oh well, I guess I really shouldn't complain though.
What a weak Heisman year. The 4 sent to NY IMO will be 4 of Smith, G. Jones, Suggs, Dorsey, and Clarett
Total Dominance......... I only wish Thompson and Works would've gotten some more time 1 thing: Am I missing something? Why was Cuva kicking off instead of DiCarlo.....Cuva couldn't even get it past the 20
wow... Arizona St. beats Oregon, in Oregon, 45-42. Last year, Stanford beat Oregon 49-42 up there, also the week after the RRS. That's one undefeated team down already... Of course, unless we win tonight, it's all irrelevant. hook 'em!!!!!!! texas fight!

Of course, unless we win tonight, it's all irrelevant. Ohio State almost lost too. They'll go down next week against Penn State, I think. Texas *can* move up to the top few, provided they can win out. I'm not so worried about ISU next week now, but I still am not so sure about today's game.
I dunno. Wasn't he kicking it into the wind though? They were going into the endzone in the other direction.
Huge victory tonight. I don't care what anyone says. Kansas State at home is a very good team. We were underdogs for the first time in years, and we got a huge game. Congrats to everyone, and huge props to Chris Simms for that remarkable throw to BJ while getting crushed.
props to the Texas offense, which went vertical successfully today! And Simms on that last TD drive, great! as for the running game, still lacking. I liked that Benson was relieved by Young in the 4th. What was up with Sproles? We couldn't stop him! Anyways, I'm happy... a win is a win. and our offense stepped up against a good defense. Time to continue the 12 hour nonstop football watching day with AF v. ND
Yeah, the offense still has a lot of flaws, but it was a lot better. Even if we don't complete them all, as long as we stay committed to throwing downfield and stretching the defense, it'll be a lot more open underneath.
Nice win. DV, your new sig: Cedric Benson- 22 carries, 54 yards, 0 TD Quentin "Heisman" Griffin- 32 carries, 248 yards, 1 TD
